‘Old World Santas’ quilt is raffle prize<br />

The Middlesex County<br />

Woman’s Club Quilt Group<br />

meets every Wednesday and<br />

has produced a beautiful quilt<br />

titled “Old World Santas,”<br />

which will be raffled off at 3<br />

p.m. on Saturday, November<br />

5, during the Urbanna Oyster<br />

Festival at the Woman’s Club<br />

clubhouse at 210 Virginia<br />

Street in Urbanna.<br />

The quilt is hand-embroidered<br />

in what quilters refer to<br />

as “redwork,” machine-pieced<br />

and hand-quilted. “This lovely<br />

quilt would make a stunning<br />

addition to your home or a<br />

well cherished Christmas gift,”<br />

said a Woman’s Club spokesperson.<br />
