Boys Continued<br />
BG Sweater/Blazer: ONLY the BG<br />
sweater, BG sweater vest or BG blazer<br />
may be worn. All may be purchased in<br />
the bookstore, or through the uniform<br />
company. The wearing of the sweater/<br />
blazer is optional throughout the<br />
school year.<br />
Slacks: Slacks shall be solid, neat, presentable,<br />
professional dress slacks in a<br />
shade of black, brown/khaki, or blue.<br />
No top stitching of slacks will be acceptable.<br />
Slacks must be worn appropriately<br />
at the waist or hip so that no<br />
undergarments are visible at any time.<br />
Jeans, cords, baggies, cargos, carpenters,<br />
stretch or spandex pants, slit or<br />
frayed pants, pants with rivets, are unacceptable.<br />
Belts: Solid color belts must be worn.<br />
Shoes: Closed toe, hard-soled dress<br />
shoes. Leather or suede shall be considered<br />
acceptable dress. Athletic<br />
shoes, skate shoes, slipper-type, Uggsstyle,<br />
hiking boots, or work boots are<br />
unacceptable.<br />
Socks: Only solid in color and must<br />
be worn at all times.<br />
Hair: Hair should be neatly trimmed,<br />
not beyond the collar and not a distraction.<br />
(Unnaturally styled or bizarre colored<br />
hair is unacceptable.) Tightly<br />
curled styles beyond three inches from<br />
the scalp shall be considered a distraction.<br />
Neatly trimmed mustaches and<br />
beards are acceptable.<br />
Hats: Hats and bandanas are not a part<br />
of the BG dress code and are not to be<br />
worn within the school at any time.<br />
Jewelry: Earrings or pierced jewelry of<br />
any kind is unacceptable. Visible neck<br />
jewelry and bracelets are unacceptable.<br />

<strong>Dress</strong> <strong>Code</strong><br />
The dress code is intended to instill a<br />
sense of professionalism, pride and respect.<br />
It is the responsibility of each<br />
student to adhere to these ideals daily.<br />
Clothing must fit properly, be clean, be<br />
worn appropriately, be professional, and<br />
be in good repair.<br />
**Note: Students may not transport articles<br />
of clothing not in the dress code<br />
beyond the student and athletic locker<br />
rooms.<br />
Girls<br />
BG sweater: ONLY the BG sweater,<br />
BG sweater vest or solid color blazer<br />
may be worn. All may be purchased in<br />
the bookstore, or through the uniform<br />
company. The wearing of the sweater/<br />
blazer is optional throughout the school<br />
year.<br />
Blouses: ONLY the approved BG<br />
blouses, with the BG monogram, may<br />
be worn and must be bought through the<br />
uniform company. All blouses are to be<br />
properly buttoned (no more than two<br />
buttons shall be undone and collar buttons<br />
shall be fastened.) The new style<br />
of blouse is not tucked in, however,<br />
the old style of blouse must be tucked<br />
in at all times. No garments underneath<br />
the blouse shall be visible.<br />
Skirts:<br />
ONLY the approved BG pleated skirts<br />
may be worn and must be bought<br />
through the uniform company and can<br />
only be 2” above the knee. Shorts<br />
may be worn underneath the skirt,<br />
provided they are not visible below<br />
the hemline.<br />
Slacks:<br />
Slacks shall be solid, neat, presentable,<br />
professional dress slacks in a<br />
shade of black, brown/khaki, or blue.<br />

Stockings / Knee Socks / Tights/<br />
Nylons: Must be worn and may not<br />
be a distraction.<br />
Shoes: Closed toe, hard-soled dress<br />
shoes. Leather or suede shoes shall be<br />
considered acceptable dress. Heels<br />
must be reasonable in height. Athletic<br />
shoes, skate shoes, slipper-type shoes,<br />
Uggs, canvas Tom’s, hiking boots or<br />
work boots are unacceptable.<br />
Hair: Hair should be neatly kept<br />
and not a distraction. (Unnaturally<br />
styled or bizarre colored hair is unacceptable.)<br />
Jewelry: Pierced rings other than<br />
on the earlobes are not acceptable.<br />
Ear cuffs are not acceptable.<br />
Boys/Girls<br />
Polo Shirt: The green or white BG<br />
Polo Shirt may be worn from the<br />
start of school to November 1 and<br />
from April 1 to the end of the<br />
school year. The polo shirt must be<br />
purchased from the uniform company<br />
and is the ONLY alternative to<br />
the uniform shirt.<br />
Shirts:<br />
Boys<br />
ONLY the approved BG shirt with<br />
the BG monogram may be worn and<br />
must be bought through the uniform<br />
company. All shirts are to be properly<br />
buttoned (no more than one<br />
button shall be undone and collar<br />
buttons shall be fastened). Shirts<br />
shall be tucked in at all times. Ties<br />
must be worn appropriately at all<br />
times with shirts. No garment underneath<br />
the shirt shall be visible.
