Boys Continued
BG Sweater/Blazer: ONLY the BG
sweater, BG sweater vest or BG blazer
may be worn. All may be purchased in
the bookstore, or through the uniform
company. The wearing of the sweater/
blazer is optional throughout the
school year.
Slacks: Slacks shall be solid, neat, presentable,
professional dress slacks in a
shade of black, brown/khaki, or blue.
No top stitching of slacks will be acceptable.
Slacks must be worn appropriately
at the waist or hip so that no
undergarments are visible at any time.
Jeans, cords, baggies, cargos, carpenters,
stretch or spandex pants, slit or
frayed pants, pants with rivets, are unacceptable.
Belts: Solid color belts must be worn.
Shoes: Closed toe, hard-soled dress
shoes. Leather or suede shall be considered
acceptable dress. Athletic
shoes, skate shoes, slipper-type, Uggsstyle,
hiking boots, or work boots are
unacceptable.
Socks: Only solid in color and must
be worn at all times.
Hair: Hair should be neatly trimmed,
not beyond the collar and not a distraction.
(Unnaturally styled or bizarre colored
hair is unacceptable.) Tightly
curled styles beyond three inches from
the scalp shall be considered a distraction.
Neatly trimmed mustaches and
beards are acceptable.
Hats: Hats and bandanas are not a part
of the BG dress code and are not to be
worn within the school at any time.
Jewelry: Earrings or pierced jewelry of
any kind is unacceptable. Visible neck
jewelry and bracelets are unacceptable.

Dress Code
The dress code is intended to instill a
sense of professionalism, pride and respect.
It is the responsibility of each
student to adhere to these ideals daily.
Clothing must fit properly, be clean, be
worn appropriately, be professional, and
be in good repair.
**Note: Students may not transport articles
of clothing not in the dress code
beyond the student and athletic locker
rooms.
Girls
BG sweater: ONLY the BG sweater,
BG sweater vest or solid color blazer
may be worn. All may be purchased in
the bookstore, or through the uniform
company. The wearing of the sweater/
blazer is optional throughout the school
year.
Blouses: ONLY the approved BG
blouses, with the BG monogram, may
be worn and must be bought through the
uniform company. All blouses are to be
properly buttoned (no more than two
buttons shall be undone and collar buttons
shall be fastened.) The new style
of blouse is not tucked in, however,
the old style of blouse must be tucked
in at all times. No garments underneath
the blouse shall be visible.
Skirts:
ONLY the approved BG pleated skirts
may be worn and must be bought
through the uniform company and can
only be 2” above the knee. Shorts
may be worn underneath the skirt,
provided they are not visible below
the hemline.
Slacks:
Slacks shall be solid, neat, presentable,
professional dress slacks in a
shade of black, brown/khaki, or blue.

Stockings / Knee Socks / Tights/
Nylons: Must be worn and may not
be a distraction.
Shoes: Closed toe, hard-soled dress
shoes. Leather or suede shoes shall be
considered acceptable dress. Heels
must be reasonable in height. Athletic
shoes, skate shoes, slipper-type shoes,
Uggs, canvas Tom’s, hiking boots or
work boots are unacceptable.
Hair: Hair should be neatly kept
and not a distraction. (Unnaturally
styled or bizarre colored hair is unacceptable.)
Jewelry: Pierced rings other than
on the earlobes are not acceptable.
Ear cuffs are not acceptable.
Boys/Girls
Polo Shirt: The green or white BG
Polo Shirt may be worn from the
start of school to November 1 and
from April 1 to the end of the
school year. The polo shirt must be
purchased from the uniform company
and is the ONLY alternative to
the uniform shirt.
Shirts:
Boys
ONLY the approved BG shirt with
the BG monogram may be worn and
must be bought through the uniform
company. All shirts are to be properly

button shall be undone and collar
buttons shall be fastened). Shirts
shall be tucked in at all times. Ties
must be worn appropriately at all
