Who we are:<br />
<strong>Respond</strong>! was established in 1982 and<br />
is Ireland’s largest non-profit Housing<br />
Association. We have built more than 4500<br />
homes nationwide with a further 800 under<br />
construction. We have provided homes for<br />
traditional families, lone-parent families,<br />
the elderly, the homeless and disabled<br />
people. We have also provided emergency<br />
accommodation in conjunction with Local<br />
Authorities and several group homes for<br />
local charitable groups.<br />
Our aims:<br />
<strong>Respond</strong>! aims to:<br />
• Establish and maintain vibrant, socially<br />
integrated communities rather than<br />
just simply providing just shelter<br />
or accommodation.<br />
• Advance education among<br />
residents of our estates.<br />
• Promote other charitable purposes<br />
beneficial to the community.<br />
• Prevent and relieve hardship<br />
and distress amongst those who are<br />
homeless and amongst those in need<br />
who are living in adverse<br />
housing conditions.<br />

This modern integrated housing scheme<br />
opened in January 2006. It is a five<br />
story development consisting of 62<br />
units of accommodation, housing elderly,<br />
families, and a Group Home managed<br />
by the COPE Foundation. On the fifth<br />
floor there is a <strong>Respond</strong>! office and<br />
a <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> managed and run by<br />
<strong>Respond</strong>! The <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> welcomes<br />
both residents and members of the<br />
wider community.<br />
The type of services we offer<br />
our <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> clients include:<br />
• Physiothreapy<br />
• Podiatry (specialised footcare)<br />
• Assisted bathing unit (bathing<br />
or showers given to those who<br />
might require this service)<br />
• Fun activities organised<br />
by <strong>Respond</strong>! staff<br />
• 3 course meal at lunchtime<br />
• Tea/coffee in the morning and afternoon<br />
