Girlguiding in the Piddle Valley
Over the years many Piddle Valley girls have enjoyed the great benefits of joining
in with activities of Girlguiding UK, the largest voluntary organisation for girls and
young women in this country. I am sure that some of you reading this will recall
happy memories of your time in the Brownies and Guides !
Today we have 2 units operating in the Valley; Rainbows for girls aged 5 to 7
years and Brownies for girls aged 7 to 11 years. Both groups meet weekly in
Piddlehinton Village Hall during school term time.
Our Brownies are looking for a new Brown Owl - can you – or someone
you know – help please ?
From September 2012, our current leaders, Kerry and Claire, are retiring. Both
ladies have for the past 2 years run an excellent Brownie unit, providing our girls
with an imaginative range of activities, challenges, and learning experiences
