Welcome to the 2013 edition of the Benchmark<br />
<strong>Charolais</strong> Bull Sale! We are happy to be hosting<br />
our second annual sale with Blackbern Farm and<br />
WhiteWater <strong>Charolais</strong>.<br />
We are offering a good selection of quality yearling<br />
bulls. They are backed by top genetics to provide<br />
the conformation, traits and performance you are<br />
looking for in a herdsire.<br />
This year we’ve added a few open heifers to the sale line-up, replacement females that<br />
have the maternal characteristics to do a great job in any herd.<br />

Thank you to those who attended and<br />
purchased at last year’s sale.<br />
We had several obstacles to overcome in<br />
2012. Drought, feed shortage and the loss<br />
of the Bull Test Station in Douglas, but even<br />
with these changes we are very pleased with the bulls we present to you this year. The<br />
Blackbern and Whitewater bulls are being fed at our home farm in Foresters Falls.<br />
The bulls are fed free choice hay and limit fed a pelletted bull ration. Please stop by to<br />
see the bulls at any time.<br />
When we met in 2011 to plan the Benchmark Sale we wanted to make this a long-term<br />
venture. With this in mind we have added a select number of open females to the sale.<br />
The demand for <strong>Charolais</strong> and Char-cross calves continues to be high. Add in our<br />
philosophy of easy calving and high weaning weight and you will reap the benefits in<br />
the fall. Look through the catalogue and give us a call if you have any questions.<br />
