POLITICAL ACTIVITIES ORDINANCE 2012 

PUBLICATION OF DONATIONS BY POLITICAL 

PARTIES ORDER 2012 

(Legal Notice 62 of 2012) 

MADE by the Governor under section 24 (15) of the Political 

Activities Ordinance 2012, after consultation with the Integrity 

Commission. 

1. It is hereby prescribed that political parties are required to 

publish all donations which exceeds $3,000. 

2. All registered political parties should publish details of all 

donations received, which exceeds $3,000 in an appropriate form. 

3. The information should be published in a format at the 

party’s discretion, but it should be readily available to all members 

of the public. This can include publication on the party’s website 

and/or any other means of ensuring the details are widely available 

to the public at large. 

4. Publication should take place within 30 days of receiving 

the donation. For the purposes of 2012 donations, all donations 

over $3,000 should be published within 30 days of the making of 

this Order. 

5. The details required to be published by political parties 

concerning a donation which exceeds $3,000 should include— 

(a) the amount or value of the donation; 

(b) the name of the donor – if a company, its registered 

name; 

(c) the date the donation was received and accepted by 

the party.

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT (N0.2) 

(Legal Notice 63 of 2012) 

MADE by the Governor under section 1 of the Integrity 

Commission (Amendment) (No. 3) Ordinance 2012. 

The 12 th day of November 2012 is appointed as the day on 

which— 

(a) section 2; 

(b) the definitions of “Code of Conduct” and 

“Constitution” as enacted by section 3(1); 

(c) sections 13(1)(d)(ii) and (iii), as enacted by section 

4(c); 

(d) section 8; 

(e) sections 58A to 58C of Part VII and the heading 

preceding them, as enacted by section 11; and 

(f) section 13, 

of the Integrity Commission (Amendment) (No. 3) Ordinance 

2012 shall come into force.
