educating students well requires more than a thoughtful lesson.<br />

<strong>Noble</strong>s educates the whole student, caring just as much about<br />

developing character as developing a thorough underst<strong>and</strong>ing of the<br />

Pythagorean theorem. The school’s dem<strong>and</strong>ing academic curriculum is<br />

paired with the Afternoon Program—which includes everything from<br />

athletics to visual arts, theatre <strong>and</strong> dance to community service—to<br />

inspire student leadership <strong>and</strong> transformation. The onus falls on the<br />

faculty. Of course they are responsible for high-level <strong>and</strong><br />

innovative instruction in a wide range of courses <strong>and</strong> disciplines.<br />

In line with the school’s pedagogy, faculty also invest in students <strong>and</strong><br />

develop relationships with them outside the classroom so that they<br />

can mentor <strong>and</strong> teach most effectively.<br />

Through so many touchpoints, students gain greater appreciation<br />

for hard work, self-discipline, service to others, honesty <strong>and</strong><br />

compassion—character traits <strong>and</strong> leadership skills that will serve them<br />

throughout their lives. Adolescence is a time of self-discovery.<br />
