real chess match, which was played by the charismatic
chess player Paul Keres in Poland in 1950.

Disappearing Landscape
Video, HD 2:15 min, 2011
film still 1:18 min Installation view, flatscreen, video, object
A simplified landscape made of modeled, coloured ice melts down in
a dramatic motion. This act evokes an image of an Armageddon, an
act of God. Hills are guzzled by the burning sky.
My video work is a contemporary take on landscape and its representation.
The work can be shown as a single projection or in combination
with another object.

Universes
Video, vertical format 16:9, different running times aprox.1-2 min
(each video), 2010
Various abstracted interpretations of universes are choreographed
with simple objects based on the idea of an expanding universe.
The objects as pencils or ping-pong balls are floating in their individual
movements in a water basin. The videos are combined to
abstract compositions in motion.
Installation view, 2011 Detail Vitalograph 1&2, 2011
Vitalograph 1 & 2
Installation, 2 Tetrahedrons, 2 Machines, Video projection „Reverse Systems“,
2:15min, 2011
A video with floating ping-pong balls on black ink is projected on two tetrahedron
sculptures from above. The choreography was created by my own
breathing. The two Vitalograph 1&2 machines pretend to controll the motions.
The glittering moondust surface of the tetrahedrons reflects the projection into
the space. A Vitalograph is an apparatus for measuring the volume of air in the
lungs and translates this information into drawings. This installation pretends
to “work“ without any relation of cause and effect being clearly established or
even quantified.

Rotamixer Deluxe
Sculpture in motion, rotor, plinth, LED lamp, 125 cm x 25
cm, 2011
A mechanic object with a working motor stands on a hanging
plinth. The upper part is rotating and shaking with
creating a confusing noise. A small LED lamp is pointing
the glitter surface of the sculpture and creates reflections
in the surroundings.

Paper weights - Wars 2003
rasin casting, objects, text, Ø15 cm, 2003
After the Iraq War started in 2003, I was pointing to other
conflicts, which were happening at the same time. Over
those months, the news was so silent about other issues.
So, I‘ve created nine paper weights and depicted every
conflict on the back sides. The objects were presented on
a floating neon colored model landscape.
Centres of conflicts:
Kashmir, Israel / Palestine, Georgia, Colombia, Congo,
Iraque, Ivory Coast, Sudan und Chechnia
