Diagnosed with dementia<br />
Is the future for my dad<br />
When I see him deteriorating<br />
It makes me feel so sad<br />
Feeling like it’s grief<br />
I lose a part of him each day<br />
As I try to do my very best<br />
Did it have to be th<strong>is</strong> way?<br />
Sometimes I wonder how am I going to cope<br />
And then on the good days I will never give up hope<br />
Then I will convince myself<br />
Things will never be that bad<br />
