We, at the <strong>Elementary</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Science</strong> (<strong>EIS</strong>), would like to thank you<br />
from a very special place in our hearts. A place where dreams come true!<br />
Each and every one <strong>of</strong> you did what needed to be done, when it needed to<br />
be done, and together we did what “no one” cold have done alone.<br />
To celebrate this accomplishment, a new and exciting logo was designed<br />
to support our new state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art science and technology center. Today,<br />
we introduce and dedicate this new logo to all <strong>of</strong> our capital campaign<br />
donors - knowing that generations <strong>of</strong> children will benefit from your<br />
kindness. This new logo sets the tone going forward and reflects the joyful<br />
spirit within which <strong>EIS</strong> was founded. A signature building required a bold<br />
design and we hope you like this adventuresome new look.<br />
Our organization recognizes the vision established by Tom Watts and the<br />
<strong>EIS</strong> founding board members. This community will remember with pride and<br />
gratitude the work <strong>of</strong> <strong>EIS</strong> founder Tom Watts (1935-2000). We would also like<br />
to acknowledge the contribution <strong>of</strong> its first Executive Director Mrs. Elizabeth<br />
Thompson and several distinguished Board Presidents and Board Members:<br />
Dr. Robert Mathews, Mr. Rufus DeWitt, Mrs. Vivien Duncan, and Mr. William<br />
Stephens. <strong>The</strong>ir leadership has led us to this historic moment in the<br />
history <strong>of</strong> <strong>EIS</strong>.<br />
