We Get It. ®
Understanding the legal needs of Illinois
is much easier when you live here.
You may recognize many of the people at Greensfelder’s
Illinois office. You’ve probably seen them volunteering
at a booth during a local festival or with their families
walking around the mall. It just makes them more
accessible and understanding of the unique challenges
you face in the Metro East. It makes a difference. Your
bottom line will show it.
Belle Valley School District #119
Surrounded by playgrounds, track & soccer fields, and baseball diamonds;
the new Belle Valley campus will soon expand their horizons into the realm
of botany, horticulture, weather and astronomy. A thirty-three foot Geodome
greenhouse is scheduled for construction this July; as well as, an outdoor observatory.
The Geodome greenhouse will provide our students (K-8) with the environment
and equipment necessary to not only germinate a variety of plant species;
but also, perform experimentation in scientific areas like hydroponics and biotechnology.
The geo- design is highly used throughout mountain ranges and
will provide our students with year-round educational opportunities.
Belle Valley’s Observatory will be connected with
Yerkes Observatory in Wisconsin; allowing students
from around the world to explore our universe
through its 16 inch telescope.Students will be able to directly observe
our inner planets, gaseous nebula, galaxies, and much more.
When weather permits, the district will hold star parties for students
& community members. Opportunities for astronomy instruction
will also be provided to other school districts throughout
the southern part of our state.
Leadership Belleville-Business Day
The Leadership Belleville class learned about business in
Belleville as they got a behind-the-scenes tour of some of
the area employers in March. The day started at The ROHO
Group with a very informative tour of the facility and a history
of the company with CEO Bob Graebe. Afterwards the group
traveled to Eckert’s Orchard where CEO Chris Eckert talked
about orchard operations while giving the class a tour. After
lunch at Eckert’s, the group went on a tour of the Belleville
News-Democrat printing facility led by President and Publisher,
Jay Tebbe. The group’s last stop was at Illinois Distributing
where they toured the offices and warehouse with COO Craig
Harper and Director of Marketing Joe Krump. Afterwards the
class was treated to some product sampling hosted by Illinois
Distributing.
Thank you to all the businesses and presenters who participated
in business day. Also, thank you to Bridgeman Insurance
Agency and Eckert’s for sponsoring the meals and to Illinois
Distributing for the after hours. Also, big thanks to Craig
Harper and Andy Bridgeman for coordinating the day.
