the panels experienced drop in <strong>blood</strong> <strong>glucose</strong>. This is<br />

becauso lhe pancreas will <strong>on</strong>ly resp<strong>on</strong>d to release il')sulin<br />

when <strong>glucose</strong> is in excess in <strong>blood</strong> and thls account lor<br />

the l<strong>on</strong>ger resp<strong>on</strong>se time for <strong>blood</strong> <strong>glucose</strong> reducti<strong>on</strong><br />

(Khanna el al., 1981). Rosults from the currsnl sludy<br />

showed lhat Ppk in the <str<strong>on</strong>g>supplemented</str<strong>on</strong>g> s<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>t <str<strong>on</strong>g>bun</str<strong>on</strong>g>s<br />

accelerated carbohydrale metabolism resulting in rapid<br />

reducli<strong>on</strong>ot <strong>glucose</strong> level as compared to c<strong>on</strong>trol sott roll<br />

in healthyadults.<br />
