Norton Chapel
Keuka College and a proponent of a large and arch ite
of the founding of Keuka College. It was const ru c te d
to serve as a physical symbol of the centrality of re l igion
in adve n t u rous living, as well as to provide fa c i l ities
Canada. Also, not a single nail was used on the inte rior
A 50-member choir may be seated in the balcony
behind the chancel and in front of the 2,469 orga n
pipes and pro j e c ted Spanish horns of the 3-manual
pedal organ built by the Sch l i cker Organ Comp a ny
Inc. of Buffalo. The organ was given as a gift to th e
C o l l e ge by Mrs. George Shipman Jephson of
C a z e n ovia, as a memorial to her aunt, Eva n ge l i n e
D e cke r. The organ was dedicated April 25, 1965 with a
special re c i tal by David Craighead, head of the orga n
