HMS SWiFT - Colonial Brig 1776<br />
The brigantine Swift was built in the colonies in 1776. She was captured by the Royal<br />
Navy and sailed under the British flag between 1776 and 1778.<br />

USS CoNSTiTUTioN - United States Frigate 1797<br />
U.S.S. Constitution, with 54 guns, was launched in 1797. Given the nick name of ‘Old<br />
Ironsides’ after a sailor saw a cannonball bounce off her hull, the USS Constitution<br />
has won every battle she’s ever fought. Resting in Boston Harbour, she is the oldest<br />
commissioned US warship.<br />

USS CoNSTiTUTioN - Mid Ship Cross <strong>Section</strong><br />
This model has plenty of detail without many of the complexities of scale ship<br />
modeling. Hull sections are preformed poplar plywood, ready for planking. Fittings<br />
include walnut deadeyes, blocks, gun carriages and barrels; burnished metal cannon<br />
and lots of copper and brass hardware. Silk flag, rigging, water casks and hardwood<br />
pedestal are all includes. Six sheets of plans and instructions are easy-to-follow.<br />

HMS ViCToRY - 104 Gun First Rate Vessel<br />
The first rate vessel H.M.S. Victory, with 104 guns, was launched at Chatham in<br />
1765. It was in service for a long time under the command of famous admirals. Its<br />
name was indissolubly tied to Nelson’s in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. It is the boast<br />
of the English Navy and is still preserved at Portsmouth.<br />

HMS ViCToRY - Nelsons Flagship<br />
The HMS Victory was Nelsons Flagship, on which he was killed at Trafalgar. The<br />
battle of Trafalgar was one of the most famous battles in history, bitterly fought on the<br />
21st October 1805, between English and French-Spanish fleets. Begun in 1759 and<br />
launched in 1765, she was subjected to several rebuilding’s before arriving at Trafalgar.<br />
The Victory once again took to the sea on 14th January 1922, to Portsmouth<br />
where she is still visible in dock.<br />

YaCHT aMERiCa - Schooner 1851<br />
The yacht America was a 19th century racing yacht which gave its name to the<br />
international sailing trophy it first won: the America’s Cup. Designed by George Steers<br />
and built in William Brown’s shipyard in 1851. Its name is still the most important and<br />
celebrated in the history of world yachting. On August 22, 1851, the America won by<br />
over 20 minutes the Royal Yacht Squadron’s 53 mile regatta around the Isle of Wight.<br />
America carried off an overwhelming victory over the English squadron.<br />

YaCHT MaRY - Royal Dutch Yacht 1646<br />
The Yacht Mary was built in the Netherlands and was presented to Prince Charles<br />
Stuard by the town of Amsterdam on the occasion of his proclamation to King of<br />
England. It is considered the prototype of the pleasure boats.<br />
