What will be there?
The species we grow are primarily
reforestation species that are native to
the Northwest. We expect to have some
popular Christmas tree varieties. See
species list.
HOWEVER — we cannot guarantee exactly
what we will have as it is dependent
on weather and soil conditions at our
nurseries prior to the sales.

Nursery Site Sales
In Oregon, there will be two
sales at our Aurora Nursery
The first sale will be Saturday, February 9, 2013
and the second sale will be Saturday,
March 9, 2013. Trees may be purchased in full
bag or box quantity and/or individually. There
are no advance sales.
NOTE: Educational demonstrations and informational
displays are planned. Please visit www.myseedlings.com
closer to sale dates for details.
Sale Times
The sales will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until
12 noon for both sales.
Bulk Quantity
If you are interested in larger quantities, you may
buy directly at the Aurora Nursery site starting
Monday, February 11, 2013. The nursery hours
are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Nursery Site Sales
In Washington, there will be
two sales at our Rochester
Greenhouse
The first sale will be on the President’s Day
holiday, Monday, February 18, 2013. The
second sale will be Saturday, March 16, 2013.
Trees may be purchased in full bag or box
quantity and/or individually. There are no
advance sales.
Sale Times
The sales will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until
12 noon for both sales.
Bulk Quantity
In Washington, you may call Tree Management
Plus if you are looking for seedlings in
quantities less than 5,000. Their number is
(360) 978-5118. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Monday through Friday. If you are looking for
5,000 or more, call Terry Smith, Washington
Sales Manager at (360) 273-5527 ext. 102.

Purchase Procedure
All sales are on a first come, first served
basis. No advance orders will be accepted.
Some Stock May Be Limited!
Quantities on some stock may be limited.
The availability of specific species for the
site sales is subject to weather.
Pricing
For individual trees, all species are
$1 each. For full bag or box quantities,
prices vary from $.35 – $.65 each depending
on stock type and quantity per bag.
Tax Exempt?
In Washington, we must charge sales tax
unless you have your tax exemption ID or
Oregon driver’s license.
Please explain...
What’s a plug seedling?
When someone refers to a plug seedling,
they are referring to a tree grown in a small
container (2 – 5 cubic inches) usually for one
growing season, inside a greenhouse. Seedling
height ranges from 3 to 12 inches.
What’s a bareroot?
This stock has been grown in an outdoor
nursery and packed without soil on the roots.
This stock can be either 1, 2 or 3 years old.
Seedlings are generally classified by age in
the seed bed and age in the transplant bed.
Seedling height ranges from 6 to 20 inches.
What’s a transplant?
Transplants are trees that were grown for
1 or 2 years in a seed bed and then
transplanted at a wider spacing into a
transplant bed. This would include a Plug+1
(grown first year in a greenhouse), 1+1 or a
2+1. Transplants generally have a root system
made up of more fine roots and will typically
exhibit better first year growth and survival
than a bareroot. Seedling height ranges from
6 to 30 inches.

Planting Sites
Shady areas? If you’re looking for a tree to
plant in an area that doesn’t get much sun, try
a Western hemlock or a Grand fir. Cedar would
be another option.
Wet areas? For those wet areas that may have
some standing water or poor drainage, try
Grand fir or Lodgepole pine.
