The Kozak Plateau is a large<br />
area between Ayvalik and<br />
Bergama. When a nature lover<br />
named Suhan Sen was walk<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>in</strong> the area., he saw a large<br />
rock on the side <strong>of</strong> the road,<br />
and decided that it would<br />
be a mean<strong>in</strong>gful location for<br />
an Atatürk statue. He found<br />
the owner <strong>of</strong> the property,<br />
named Yucel Koray, who was<br />
so impressed with the idea,<br />
that he donated the location.<br />
The Sculpturer was Dr. Tankut<br />
Oktem.
