<strong>Sunday</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>to</strong>wn!<br />
<strong>Sunday</strong>, September 16, 2012 after <strong>the</strong> Children’s Sermon dur<strong>in</strong>g<br />
worship, (9:20 am). We will hold a carnival <strong>to</strong> kick off our <strong>Sunday</strong> school<br />
year.<br />
There will be games and prizes, food and fun, won’t you jo<strong>in</strong> us.<br />
We offici<strong>all</strong>y start <strong>Sunday</strong> school on September 23, 2012,<br />
9:20 – 10:15 am each <strong>Sunday</strong><br />
We are also add<strong>in</strong>g some <strong>in</strong>centives <strong>to</strong> our <strong>Sunday</strong> school program this year. Each month we will be<br />
giv<strong>in</strong>g out prizes <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grade level that has <strong>the</strong> <strong>best</strong> attendance. There will also be prizes for <strong>the</strong> group<br />
with <strong>the</strong> most S<strong>in</strong>gers on <strong>Sunday</strong> when we s<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> church, And at <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> year somebody or<br />
bodies could w<strong>in</strong> a new bicycle. We will base this prize <strong>the</strong>” Best Attendance” on <strong>the</strong> maximum<br />
number of days your child could be <strong>in</strong> <strong>Sunday</strong> school account<strong>in</strong>g for every o<strong>the</strong>r weekend with Dad or<br />
Mom and a few o<strong>the</strong>r criteria. We love <strong>to</strong> see your children’s bright sh<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g faces each and every<br />
<strong>Sunday</strong>. And <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>the</strong> year we see most of <strong>the</strong>m regularly, but after <strong>the</strong> first of <strong>the</strong> year<br />
attendance drops off pretty significantly. We hope <strong>the</strong>se chances <strong>to</strong> w<strong>in</strong> fun and fabulous prizes or<br />
food parties will maybe make your child want <strong>to</strong> come every <strong>Sunday</strong> that <strong>the</strong>y can.<br />
Enclosed you will f<strong>in</strong>d a <strong>Sunday</strong> school registration form. Please take time <strong>to</strong> fill this out. In <strong>the</strong> event<br />
your child gets ill or <strong>in</strong>jured at <strong>Sunday</strong> school we have available your ph<strong>one</strong> number so that we can<br />
c<strong>all</strong> you and let you know what is go<strong>in</strong>g on. We also like <strong>to</strong> have ph<strong>one</strong> numbers for when we get<br />
close <strong>to</strong> Christmas and beg<strong>in</strong> practice for our program. You will also f<strong>in</strong>d enclosed a <strong>Sunday</strong> school<br />
Volunteer Opportunity list.<br />
Would you like <strong>to</strong> help be a Shepherd or a Room leader for a Rotation? The Rotations last 4 or 5<br />
weeks and it is re<strong>all</strong>y not that hard. Shepherds sit with <strong>the</strong> children dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> open<strong>in</strong>g and help <strong>the</strong>m<br />
with <strong>the</strong> songs. Then you go <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> room and help with ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g order and possibly help with what<br />
is go<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>in</strong> that room. If you would like <strong>to</strong> teach/lead a Rotation, we have pr<strong>in</strong>ted material for you<br />
<strong>to</strong> use and you can be reimbursed for any and <strong>all</strong> supplies that you may need for that particular room.<br />
We usu<strong>all</strong>y have a game room, computer lab, and kitchen where some type of cook<strong>in</strong>g goes on.<br />
Maybe you could run <strong>the</strong> C<strong>in</strong>ema room, or help with a play. How about build<strong>in</strong>g th<strong>in</strong>gs out of<br />
LEGOS, hey <strong>all</strong> you Dads you can help <strong>to</strong>o, we bet you are great at build<strong>in</strong>g th<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />
