200 A Biedermeier mahogany and walnut secretaire a abattant with long frieze drawer and lower cupboard, the desk opening to reveal a fitted compartment, the fitted interior decorated with checkerboard floor, the two side panels decorated with painted scenes, c.1840. Provenance: Formerly the property of Vera Zorina, ballerina with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, the wife of George Balanchine of the New York City Ballet; and later of Goddard Lieberson of Columbia Records; by descent from their townhouse home on 63rd street in New York 201 "Blue and Gold in Connemara" by J. Humbert Craig, R.H.A., signed, oil on canvas, 24" x 20". Provenance: with label on back from The Victor Waddington Galleries, 28 South Anne St., Dublin # 507-2. 202 A George III sterling silver marrow scoop, London, c.1769. Maker: I.S. 203 Barque "Kate Young" by F. & I. Tudgay, signed and dated 1867, oil on canvas, 24" x 36". The Kate Young was launched at Tusket, NS on Nov. 18, 1864. 687 tons register. Built by Messrs. N. & E. Gardner for John Young and Captain Job Young, Master. Constructed of oak and hackatack and iron-keeled with an A1 7 year rating at Lloyds. Went ashore in the River Min and put back to Forchou when bound for Shanghai. Was condemned after a special survey and sold for $900 in April, 1869.
