(ii) English version to be followed in cases of doubt.
If before any Court any difficult or dispute arises as to the meaning
or object of any expression, definition or provision of this
Enacment, the meaning or object of the corresponding expression,
definition or provision of the English version of this Enactment
shall be followed and adopted.
4. (i) Declaration of Malay Reservations.
His Highness the Sultan in Council may be notification declare any
area of land to be a Malay Reservation.
(ii) Such notification shall describe the boundaries of such area of land
with reasonable accuracy but it shall not be necessary for the
purpose of such notification to survey the area therein referred to.
(iii) His Highness the Sultan in Council may also by notification.
(a) alter the boundaries of any Malay Reservation; or
(b) revoke any notification made under subsection (i) whether as
to the whole or any part of the area therein referred to: or
(c) include any Malay Reservation any land executed thereform.
(iv) Any notification under this section shall take effect from a date to
be specified in the notification.
(v) Any land whether State land or land held under permanent or
temporary title may be included in a Malay Reservation.
5. Notice of Reservation.
Prior to the date coming into force of any notification under section
4 copies of such notification shall be posted at the Land Offices of
the District where in the Malay Reservation is situate and at all
Mosques within the boundaries of the Malay Reservation and at
such other place as the Supritendent of Land or the District Officer
may direct; provided that no failure to comply with the provisions
of this section shall effect the validity of any such notification.
