STEP-FOUR motor control unit SF-C2
Item number: 9085000530
This unit constitutes the link between the control signals coming from the computer and the
stepper motors for the axle movement of the mechanics. Basically, this unit includes a
corresponding mains power supply and four power modules which convert the pulse and
directional signals generated by the computer into the required current signals for the
stepper motors. In addition, a processor communicates with various other devices, such as
the milling transformer, the high-speed spindle interface, etc.
How to control unipolar stepper motors:
Type 1 causes less power consumption. The stepper
motor looses torque at higher rpm.
Type 2 causes higher power consumption. The stepper
motor offers more torque at higher rpm.
