Welcome Welcome to our Black Female Production Sale. What a difference a year makes, my Dad told me about an old boy that moved up from Iowa when he was just a kid who told him, “don’t complain about a drought until you have lived through a flood.” I know what he meant now! This past spring, in the month of May alone, we had 18” of rain, well that is two years of rain in one month and if you have ever been to our Ranch at Midale you will see that water has no place to go and so it flooded 60% of our land base at Midale. That being said this has created some interesting challenges this year and an opportunity for others as we have decided to sell the 4-7 year-old cows and all the bred heifers. With this decision to sell the mature cows and the bred heifers, this will be an offering like no other in Canada this year. This offering will include the mothers of the 2010 NWSS pen show winners and numerous high sellers. The bred heifers include HF Kodiak 5R daughters that would never be offered except in these circumstances. In fact we have never sold more than a handful of black females at anytime in the past. The services these cattle are carrying will be to such notable bulls such as; HF Kodiak 5R the $150,000 Canadian sensation; Soo Line Motive 9016, a member of the 2010 NWSS pen show; SAV Best Interest 0136, one of the high-selling bulls at SAV in 2011 at $47,000; Soo Line Yellowstone 6344, the 2008 RBC Supreme Champion bull of all breeds at Canadian Western Agribition; Peak Dot Predominant 236U, the second high-selling bull in 2010 at Peak Dot Ranch, SK; Bush’s Untouchable 622, the $30,000 high-seller at Bush Angus, SD; and MCATL Reachout 150-1746, a sale feature from Musgrave Angus, IL. To say the least, we put a lot of effort and expense to source the very best herdsires in North America. Take this as a personal invitation to join us on October 14 and see our best offering yet.
