____Toy Closets – receive toys, sort them and stock the
closets on Pediatric Units.
____Jamie Goes to the Hospital – go to elementary
schools in Greater New Haven area and present
program. Training provided.
____Health Education – work on planning and
implementing health education lectures and other
projects in the community.
____Gift Shop – meets monthly with Gift Shop managers
to help oversee Gift Shop. Members may or may not
volunteer to work in the shop.
____Newsletter – suggest or write articles, send
pictures, etc.
Toy Closets Golf Outing ready
to tee off on September 12
The 10th Annual Toy Closets Golf
Outing is scheduled for Friday,
September 13, at Lyman Orchards
Golf Course, in Middlesex, CT, with
registration at 7 a.m. and shotgun at
8:30 a.m. The Outing is the largest
source of funding for the Toy Closets
program, which provides age
appropriate toys and gifts for
pediatric patients discharged from
Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.

As members of the Auxiliary, you can help us as we enter our second half-century. Here is a list of our committees
and special events. Some of these activities are one-time only and some continue throughout the year. We always
have a need for volunteer help. Look them over and check off ones that might be of interest to you, then fill out the

Special Events Committees:
____Holiday Tree Lighting – in late Nov. or Dec.
____Secretaries Day – deliver gifts to areas in hospital.
Takes place on April 23.
____Annual Meeting – help with planning, etc.
____50th Anniversary event in spring 2003 – help with all
aspects.
