MEN’S VOLLEYBALL 20<strong>11</strong>-20<strong>12</strong> Season Highlights<br />
The <strong>Chargers</strong> men made a strong presence on the PACWEST<br />
Individual Leader’s list with nine of fourteen student-athletes<br />
earning Top 15 status in the conference’s statistical categories<br />
over the year. Most notably, team captain Garrett Marcellus<br />
maintained a Top 15 ranking in each category throughout<br />
the season. In November, the squad achieved a Top 15 CCAA<br />
National ranking and the team went on to make the program’s<br />
15th appearance at the Provincial Championship. Entering<br />
the playoffs as the No. 5 seeds, <strong>Camosun</strong> made it past the<br />
quarterfinals but were defeated in the semi’s to play for Bronze.<br />
There, the <strong>Chargers</strong> fell in four sets finishing fourth overall.<br />
For his outstanding performance at the playoffs, Garrett<br />
Marcellus earned Player of the Game honors in each of<br />
<strong>Camosun</strong>’s three matches and was awarded a Tournament<br />
All-Star. Rookie Alex Sadowski finished the season No. 5 in the<br />
CCAA National rankings in blocks.<br />
