Mumbai Memorial Tribute Last year, the world stood together in shock and sadness at the brutal loss of life in Mumbai, India. One year later, The Shul participated in a global gathering of hope, healing, and renewal to mark the anniversary of this terrible tragedy and the loss of our fellow Shluchim, Rabbi Gabi and Rivkah Holtzberg. The program included special greetings from Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger, Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Professor Eli Wiesel. The 60-minute 60 minute memorial broadcast also included heart rendering videos clips of the Shluchim in Mumbai and stories of people - whose lives they touched. The Shul kids also participated in their very own tribute rally, with a unique video on Israel, the chanting of 12 Torah Pesukim and a grand raffle. Thank you to all those that assisted in making this event possible! Community Nachas A Peek at Recent Happenings The Chanukah Mailing is on its Way! The call to arms went out early on Friday morning, to get our Chanukah mailing off to the Bulk Mail Post Office in time to meet the deadline in a short and hectic Thanksgiving week. There to pitch in and help get the job down was Mrs. Riva Minkowitz, Rebbetzin Chani’s mom. Thanks also to our bochurim, Eli, Shimon, Chaim and Yankee and to Adina Lipskar for helping out. 35
