Fossils in Northampton county have been got from the<br />

middle and upper limestones; thus—Maclurea (or Enom-<br />

phalus) in Dech's quarry, IJ m. S. W. of Bath ; probably<br />

of Chazy age. —Encrmal stems, not far N, E. of last;<br />

Trenton. age\ also abundant in the upper beds of Krock's<br />

quarry at Christian spring ; also, from there eastward to i<br />

m. E. of Nazareth, wherever the limestones are weathered;<br />

also, in Russ' quarry, just S. W. of Nazareth (here in company<br />

with a few Orthis testudinaria); also, on Knecht's<br />

farm close to Buslikill creek, ^ m, S. W. of Stockertown<br />

(here in company with Clicetetes lycoperdon and 0. testudi-<br />

naria)\ also, at quarry opposite Churchville church, in<br />

upper weathered rocks (the lower beds affording LeptcBiia<br />

sericea, 0. testudinarla, and O. pectinella)\ also \ m. E. of<br />

Keller's tavern (two or three encrinal outcrops). All these<br />

exhibitions prove that encr inal stems m.2LY^ iheTrenion outcrop.<br />

— In the quarries on the Delaware just S. of Howell's<br />

cotton mill are found Leptcena sericea, Orthis pectinella,<br />

O. testudinaria., Strophomena alternata.^ Chcetetes lycoperdon.<br />

and one or two other undetermined forms, lying in<br />

colonies of from 20 to 200 individuals, and not scattered<br />

through the rocks, which are evidently of Trenton age.
