The 49 series direct operated regulators are
designed for high-pressure service and can be used
on either vapor or liquid applications. The outlet
pressure ranges from 3 to 135 psig.
High-pressure regulators usually reduce tank
pressure to an intermediate pressure for use by
another regulator.
Note: Type 49 regulators do not have an internal
relief valve.
The type 492HP regulator is an adjustable highpressure
regulator with a hand wheel adjustment.
The type 493HP regulator is a wrench
adjustable high-pressure regulator. It is very
compact.
The type 494HP regulator is a preset highpressure
regulator with no field adjustment.
The type 495HP regulator is an adjustable
high-pressure regulator wth a dial cap adjustment.
They are also used for final stage service. All types
are equipped with 1/4" FNPT side outlet which is
normally plugged and provides an opening for an
outlet pressure gauge.
