tried to conceal <strong>the</strong> positive aspects <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Cyl<strong>in</strong>der</strong> and <strong>in</strong>stead, by referr<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong> words <strong>of</strong><br />

some not so credible <strong>in</strong>dividuals, putt<strong>in</strong>g all <strong>the</strong>ir efforts to scrut<strong>in</strong>ize <strong>Cyrus</strong>‟s deeds <strong>in</strong> such an<br />

unlogical manner and dubb<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>m as ancient “Propaganda”..! This is while with a little<br />

research about <strong>the</strong> credibility <strong>of</strong> those cited <strong>in</strong>dividuals; we realize that from <strong>the</strong> scholastic and<br />

academic po<strong>in</strong>t <strong>of</strong> view, <strong>the</strong>y may even hardly fall <strong>in</strong>to <strong>the</strong> out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ma<strong>in</strong>stream category.<br />

Fur<strong>the</strong>rmore, those few Wiki users who cooperate with Lender<strong>in</strong>g to ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> his control over<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>article</strong> have an odd and contemptuous attitude towards Iranian History <strong>in</strong> general, as it is<br />

found <strong>in</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r related <strong>article</strong>s as well; <strong>the</strong> tone and <strong>the</strong> manner <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir comments are so<br />

deliberate and primitive that even an untra<strong>in</strong>ed eye will realize <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> bias and personal<br />

hatred. Worse is that <strong>the</strong>y th<strong>in</strong>k <strong>the</strong>y own <strong>the</strong> <strong>article</strong>s and usually bludgeon o<strong>the</strong>r users who try to<br />

contribute to <strong>the</strong> <strong>article</strong>s. They have even been warned by o<strong>the</strong>r users that <strong>the</strong>y are violat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

Wikipedia terms, but <strong>the</strong>y do not take any notice.<br />

However, once aga<strong>in</strong>, we have to bear <strong>in</strong> m<strong>in</strong>d that <strong>the</strong>ir major gripp<strong>in</strong>g po<strong>in</strong>t for back<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

arguments is that <strong>the</strong>y claim that “<strong>Cyrus</strong> <strong>Cyl<strong>in</strong>der</strong> is only follow<strong>in</strong>g a long tradition <strong>of</strong> issu<strong>in</strong>g<br />

such objects and is similar to o<strong>the</strong>r cyl<strong>in</strong>ders <strong>in</strong> all aspects”; while we prove that this op<strong>in</strong>ion is<br />

by itself too naive too stand on, as <strong>the</strong> <strong>Cyl<strong>in</strong>der</strong> may bear similarities to o<strong>the</strong>r cyl<strong>in</strong>ders <strong>in</strong><br />

appearance, but its message and <strong>the</strong> legacy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> person beh<strong>in</strong>d it is uniquely peculiar to itself.<br />

For <strong>in</strong>stance, at <strong>the</strong> section <strong>of</strong> “Interpretation” <strong>the</strong> text immediately start with this baseless title<br />

"Sargon II" <strong>the</strong> Assyrian and "Marduk-apla-idd<strong>in</strong>a II" <strong>the</strong> Chaldean k<strong>in</strong>gs who reigned <strong>in</strong><br />

“Babylon” before “<strong>Cyrus</strong> <strong>the</strong> Great”;<br />

This claim is by far a clear pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> author‟s deep lack <strong>of</strong> knowledge or possibly a<br />

deliberate distortion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> facts. None <strong>of</strong> those two cyl<strong>in</strong>ders <strong>in</strong> any way, except from repair<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>the</strong> temples, come to comparison with <strong>Cyrus</strong> <strong>Cyl<strong>in</strong>der</strong>, especially from <strong>the</strong> "Human Rights" po<strong>in</strong>t<br />

<strong>of</strong> view. In fact, <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> violence and atrocity <strong>in</strong> those two o<strong>the</strong>r cyl<strong>in</strong>ders is to a po<strong>in</strong>t that<br />

one may doubt <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>tellect <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> editors for br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g such comments. Even, despite <strong>the</strong><br />

relatively slighter h<strong>in</strong>t <strong>of</strong> violence <strong>in</strong> Marduk-apla-idd<strong>in</strong>a II‟s cyl<strong>in</strong>der, yet it has noth<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>of</strong>fer<br />

that could be matched with <strong>the</strong> notional quality <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cyrus</strong> <strong>Cyl<strong>in</strong>der</strong>.<br />

For fur<strong>the</strong>r clarification, we br<strong>in</strong>g parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> exact translations <strong>of</strong> those two<br />

cyl<strong>in</strong>ders taken from reliable sources;<br />
