2012 Christmas Party
. "Due to member request there will be a Craig Hewitt IPMS Phoenix Christmas Party Saturday, Dec. 15, 6:00 PM at ,
also due to member suggestion, the Deer Valley Airport Restaurant, 702 W. Deer Valley Rd., Phoenix. The restaurant is
easily available off I-17 and on the NW corner with 7th Ave. There is a website with map at www. DeerValleyAirportrestaurant.com.
Like the House of Blue Lights there's fryers and broilers but there will be no Detroit barbeque ribs. Instead
our members will be able 'fall in there' [ Deer Valley Airport Restaurant--not the House of Blue Lights] to order from a
menu of five items: Roast Chicken, Roast Turkey, Hot Beef Sandwich, Ham Steak; each w/potato, vegetable, soup or
salad and mini loaf. Spaghetti w/soup or salad is the fifth choice. All of the above comes with cake and soft drinks--John
Barleycorn and all of his relatives are not on the premises (you can go to the House of Blue Lights in Detroit if you really
need to meet John B!). The price for members is $18 which includes everything including tax and tip. The $18 will be
paid by each member at the restaurant--there is no prepayment. We are asking party goers to sign up in advance so we
can give a headcount to the restaurant. Signup sheets will be available at the Nov. 6 and Dec. 4 meetings. The program
will consist of door prizes and the presentation of awards to the Modeler of the Year 2012 and the Member of the Year
2012. If you have questions about the party, contact Chuck Ludwig--if you plan to go the House of Blue Lights in Detroit,
contact AAA..
