Castile resident, lias retired
as Dean of .vonen of the State
Teachers Collere,Pitchourg,liast,.,
following twenty-two years of
service there. A graduate of
Castile High School and Gene300
State Teachers College,she taught
for some years, including three
at Castile, before she tool: her
Masters Degree at Columbia. Her
first princ ipalship was at
Castile, and subsequently she was
named dean at Mansfield, Pa.,
State Teachers College,from wh-ch
position she went to Fitchhurg.
John T.Barnsdall, Jr., Buffalo
attorney, has presented his
American Legion Post 'Semper
Fidelis, Tf O , 356, a home and recreational
site of twenty-eight
acres in the town of GAINESVILLE,
Arrangements have been completed
between the University of
Buffalo and the WYOMING COUNTY
COMMUNITY HOSPITAL to provide a
nine-month college course for
each student enrolled in the
School of Nursing at Warsaw.

five-mile section of paved road
leadln, through the northern pc t
of Letchworth Park has been announced
by the Gene:ee State Park
Commission, This highway connects
with the graveled section loading
southward from the Mt, Morris Dam
site, and thus opens up an avenue
of scenic interest from the
northern extremity of the Park,
near to the Dam area, along the
west bank of the Genesee,southerly
into the older sections of the
Park.

School will be RAY C, WITTER,
formerly principal at Silver
Creek,and more recently associated
with the Veteran's Hospital at
Batavia,
The report of the State
Director of Junior Historical
Societies has this to say ibout
Wyoming County's only Chapter:
"Perry High School has two fine
clubs, i both sponsored fey Miss
Helen M. Cook: Mary Jemison
and Sea Serpent Chapters. The
Mary Jemison Chapter made models
and pictures of Mary Jemison, had
twro parties celebrating holidays,
took a trip to Canandaigua for
the Finger i^kes jamboree, another
to Rochester and a oicnic to
1Letchworth Park. The Sea Serpent
Chapter meetings featured reports
on such topics as manufacturing
in Perry, teacher talks, attendance
at Canandaigua's jamboree
and trips to Rochester and Letchworth
Park shared with the Mary
Jemison group. Perry Yorkers,
toe, may take high credit for the
apoearance of the? Finger Lakes
