Duties:
- Managerial tasks regarding the administrative well function of the
Department;
- Teaching and supervising tasks related to other colleagues, residents and
students;
- Constant operating program.

Most of the operation I carry out are without supervision, in number of
around 600/year. The operating sessions are daily. The overall number of operations
is around 600/year. The number of patients seen per clinic by myself is around 20-25
patients/day, having a consultation schedule two times per day. The types of
operation I perform are the following:
cerebral vascular pathology including MAV, aneurism, cavernous; tumors
(regardless of the age of the patient or its location); degenerative diseases of
the spinal cord, congenital malformative diseases of the new born; head
trauma, hydrocephalus.
The average number of patients under my care is of 15-18 of patients per
week, 3 operations per day, and an example of a typical case mix of patients could
be the following; 8 tumors, 3 disc hernia, 5 vascular, 1 traumatism, 1
hydrocephalus.
As well as my colleagues I am three times a month on call, and daily I have
around 2-3 emergencies, the rest of the patients being actually ill, their admission
into our clinic is being made based on a Waiting List, which numbers permanently
around 40-50 patients, male and female together.
