B) Final catering registration and payment of participating crew members and guests shall be completed by 15 June on www.x-yachts.com. 8. Registration upon Arrival Registration shall be completed at the race office located in the FSC-Clubhouse, Glücksburg – Quellental no later than 20.00 hours on Wednesday, 6 July. Race Office opens at 10.00 hrs on 6 July. 9. Rules X-Yachts Gold Cup 2011 shall be governed by: • The 2009-2012 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). • The 2010-2011 ISAF Offshore Special Regulations, Category 4. • No national prescriptions will apply • Where there is conflict with this Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions shall prevail except that neither shall change nor alter any Class Rules. • X-35 International Class Rules. • The race committee reserves the right to change the program/sailing instructions. Changes will be posted on the official Notice Board which is located at the FSC-Clubhouse not later than 19.00 hrs. They will be effective the next day. 10. Eligibility Participating yachts must be of X-Yachts design and origin. Any competitor shall not be under suspension of ISAF eligibility. 11. Classes Family Class A Sport Class B Sport Class C 50+ Class X-35 Class: Open Scandinavian Championship Classes Classes may be established for a specific model according to entry level. Minimum six similar models are required to form a class. The organizers reserve the right to establish and change classes subject to entry levels. The number of established classes will be published on www.x-yachts.com not later than 15 June. Sails Wardrobe Family Class Mainsail and one headsail per race allowed. No Spinnaker. Sport Class Full sail wardrobe allowed X-35 According to Class Rules 50+ Class The rules for Family Class/Sport Class are valid Certificates Family Class Certificates are not mandatory but requested Sport Class Certificates are not mandatory but requested IMX 40, IMX 45 Rating certificates are mandatory X-35 Measurement certificates are mandatory
12. X-Yachts Rating Valid for Family classes, Sport classes and 50 + class only Elapsed time corrections are calculated using the X-Yachts Rating provided by X- Yachts, Denmark. This is based on the ORC handicap system multiplied with the X- Yachts’ factor; time corrections are based on “Time on Distance”. 13. Crew Weight Maximum crew weight for each yacht will be published on www.x-yachts.com not later than 15 June. Crew weights for X–35 according to class rules. There will be a mandatory crew-weight control for all crews on board of yachts participating in the X–35 championship. Crew weight control will take place on 6 July between 14.00 - 19.00 hrs and on 7 July between 08.00 – 09.30 hrs. 14. Schedule 07 July 09.30 hrs Skippers Meeting at the FSC-Clubhouse 07 July 11.00 hrs 1st start 09 July 16.00 hrs Last possible start 15. Event Advertising In accordance with ISAF Regulation 20. Each yacht may be required to display event advertising on the bow. While not racing, all yachts are strongly urged to fly the event flag from the forestay. 16. Entry/Bow numbers One set of bow numbers and a set of bow sponsor logos will be handed out at registration and shall be displayed as specified by the organizers. 17. Race Area Racing will take place in the waters of Flensburg Fjord and Sonderburg bay. Courses will be defined in the Sailing Instruction. Intention is to sail windward/leeward courses, triangle courses and short offshore races. For X – 35 championship, the format will be windward/leeward courses. 18. Berthing & Crane facilities Free berthing in Glücksburg Harbour from Sunday 3 July 12 pm to Sunday 10 July for participating X-Yachts. Each yacht will be assigned a mooring by the harbour master.
