At the Exceptional Web Experience 2013, attendees will hear from customers across industries as they share their 

experiences building and delivering Exceptional Web Experiences. During the many sessions planned, in-depth

Keynote 

Larry Bowden has over two decades’ experience in IBM helping customers exploit the 

opportunities provided by information technologies. He currently is Vice President, Web Experience 

Software where he is responsible for the development and delivery of web-based products and 

solutions to help customers create differentiated web experiences for their customers, partners, 

employees, or citizens. Before this, he was Vice President Portal Solutions and Lotus Products for 

the IBM® Lotus® Software brand and the lead for strategy, marketing, partnerships, industry 

offerings, and services. Under Bowden’s leadership, WebSphere® Portal grew to be the highest 

market share portal solution. Larry also has extensive experience with IBM's Information 

Management team in Somers, New York, where he was primarily focused on IBM content 

management, business intelligence, document management, and relational database initiatives. 

Larry holds Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Master of Business Administration degrees 

from the University of Denver.

and Portal and the methods employed by Performance Bike to integrate the shopping experience with the content experience.

BUS-S04 My HR: The Seven Year Evolution of Kaiser Permanente’s HR Portal

Kaiser Permanente is one of the largest healthcare organizations in the United States, uniquely positioned as a healthcare insurer, hospital 

system, and network of healthcare providers. With over 180,000 employees and a workforce always on the go, Kaiser Permanente has unique 

challenges to provide Human Resource (HR) information, services, and transaction capabilities for its workforce. 

Kaiser Permanente implemented “My HR” a WebSphere Portal and IBM Web Content Manager-based HR portal in 2006 and has continued 

evolving the site to meet the needs of its changing workforce. My HR has grown from a small, content site to one that serves as the primary HR 

Service Delivery vehicle for Kaiser Permanente employees with over 1 million employee visits per month. 

Like many long-term programs, My HR has endured many twists and turns, funding challenges, and technology changes. This session will tell 

the story of My HR—how it was envisioned, how it was implemented, how it has evolved, the capabilities that have been deployed, the 

planning and execution process for its continuing evolution, how progress is measured, how adoption has been achieved,and where it is 

headed. Participants in the session will hear what has been tried, what has worked, and what has not--providing valuable “lessons learned” for

BUS-S05 IBM Social Portal Drives Innovation at US Department of Energy 

Speaker: April Lewis, Collaboration and Ideation Officer, US Department of Energy 

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Nuclear Energy Science Hub is uniquely using IBM Web Experience software and custom social work 

applications to drive innovation among the world's top scientists. The Virtual Office Community and Computing (VOCC) is a unique and key 

research project under the US Department of Energy's Consortium for Advanced Simulation of Light Water Reactors (CASL) Program. The 

project is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and scaling the VOCC Collaborative Science Cloud-- multiple physical and virtual 

laboratory based collaboration environments that support various aspects of CASL innovation. VOCC enables distributed collaborative coding, 

computing, modeling and simulation as well as agile communications and information management for the CASL Consortium. VOCC's 

experimental Human Computer Interaction R&D laboratory delivers "User Centered", fully immersive collaboration technology designs and 

developments in support of advancing energy science modeling and simulation. 

This session will show how VOCC uses IBM Web Experience and Social Business software, including WebSphere Portal, Web Content 

Manager, IBM Connections and Sametime, and state of the art communications hardware to build the most powerful collaboration environment

BUS-S06 Accelerating Customer Self Service with IBM Forms Experience Builder at Children's Medical Center Dallas

In this session, you'll see how Children's Medical Center Dallas, the seventh largest pediatric healthcare provider in the nation, improved their 

disease management approach by using IBM Forms Experience Builder (FEB) to create personalized electronic forms for patients to use for 

common healthcare documentation, like diet logs, journals and even healthcare pre-questionnaires. Also see how FEB is used to collect 

employee data and submit to Tivoli Service Request Manager. You will follow the evolution of the design process and see the ease of use for

BUS-S07 Prudential’s R1024 Responsive Web Portal Site and Digital Strategy 

Speaker: Pete Kempf, Senior Systems Architect, Prudential Insurance Company of America 

Prudential's strategy for delivering web applications and content has begun to focus on responsive web techniques in context of IBM 

WebSphere Portal. The goal is to leverage the Portal as a flexible platform while enabling web content designers to develop and host their 

work without interference. Typical patterns that required J2EE portal developers to interpret the web design and then convert it to portlets have 

caused many to see portal as outdated and cumbersome. In this session we'll explore how Prudential, in cooperation with IBM, designed a 

solution to keep both the UI and J2EE teams productive, and how this fits in to Prudential's Digital Strategy based on IBM WebSphere Portal 

and IBM PureApplication system. (Level: Introductory)

InformationWeek, recently named Cigna's customer online health care cost and quality capabilities on myCigna.com one of the top ten 

innovations of 2012. 

This award recognizes Cigna for its redesigned health care professional directory. The new “Find Doctors and Services” search engine helps 

customers assess medical costs for 200 common medical procedures: including specialist, facility and related fees, according to the real-time 

status of their health plan deductibles and co-insurance. It also lets them review their available health spending account funds – all before 

choosing their physician. In this session you will learn how Cigna leverages IBM Websphere Portal to continually provide an exceptional web

BUS-S09 Achieving Operations Advantage with WSRP: the Xerox Enterprise "MMIS" Portal Architecture

Attend this session to understand the business drivers and a technical overview of this solution which uses WebSphere Portal and Web 

Content Manager as part of a larger MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) Solution, deployed across five states, that 

Xerox/ACS has built for their clients. Learn how the Xerox/ACS platform architects improved solution performance, and eliminated 'Bad 

Neighbor Syndrome' by leveraging WSRP. The team will share their platform assessments and advantages of the modular approach gained 

by using WSRP to manage their integration and processing operations. See how the results improved maintainability and flexibility to provide 

resources to applications based on changing business requirements. In this session, the Xerox team will also share their experiences in 

moving from the older JSR168 standard to the contemporary JSR286 specification in their Health Enterprise Portal architecture. Also, learn 

how the key portal features like integrated UI, security policies, personalization and portlet-to-portlet communications provide a rich end user

BUS-S10 Achieving Improved Performance of Web Experience solutions at 3M

Attend this session to learn how the 3M WebSphere Portal solution integrates multiple back-end systems and delivers a unified, focused user 

experience supporting internal and external audiences. We'll share the business and technology benefits of this integration and share the 

results of recent initiatives that deliver improved response times and availability while lowering server costs, including implementation of 

Akamai cache services to the solution. Learn how the efforts of this project led to increased site loading times and decreased platform servicing 

requirements. We'll also share our proven tips for coding portlets to enable better edge cachability. (Level: Introductory)

BUS-S11 Getting the Most Out of WebSphere Portal for Optimized Web Delivery at Royal Bank of Canada 

Speaker: Geoffrey Peart, Application Architect, Portal COE, Royal Bank of Canada 

Delivering a sound, stable and flexible theme to meet all of your business needs without hindering performance of your portal can be 

challenging. Learn from this team as they share the details behind the Royal Bank of Canada custom theme that met these expectations and 

more. 

We'll cover study of the default theme with tips on how we reduced and remove unnecessary components in our design to maximize 

performance. Examples and suggestions on use of the StatePreProcessor services, and improving the performance and response time of your 

theme will be presented. In developing a theme for a complex, client facing, high volume, financial web portal; during the migration from a 

legacy custom platform to WebSphere Portal; we encountered several challenges. These included theme performance; providing a continuity 

of client experience; delivering all existing functionality on the new platform; maintaining flexibility of the theme deployable; and delivering 

theme ready to provide future functionality. Our team was able overcome these challenges with a thorough pruning of the of the out-of-the-box 

theme; a careful redesign of the side navigation to support a complex business driven style; creation of a mechanism to allow dynamic changes 

to the theme policy on a single page; engineering several features into the theme and StatePreProcessor to capture and reuse data from the 

session and portlet data to empower navigation parameters, and maintain contextual information about clients. We'll also review how we 

extended the default theme policies to express more then just basic layout information; externalized internationalized theme content including 

navigational navigational data; introducing powerful page parameters to influence theme/navigations; and more. (Level:

BUS-S12 Mitigate Risk with IBM Forms, Cognos and WebSphere Portal

IBM Forms along with Cognos software is helping save big bucks at University of California. As well, the University plans to integrate these 

products with their WebSphere Portal environment in the future and provide a single access point to the end users. 

Find out how the Risk Services department at the Office of the President is using IBM tools to identify areas of risk at the ten campuses and 

five medical centers across California. The data collected is helping allocate essential resources where needed thus investing in loss 

prevention and control. The university with the help of IBM has created an advanced analytics system for a more effective and efficient risk

BUS-S13 Bringing the Rail Industry into the 21st Century: GATX Customer Portal Implementation

In 2012, GATX, a global leader in railcar leasing, kicked off a project to enhance the web experience for their customers. The GATX Customer 

Portal has surpassed the customer expectations and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Customers now can directly collaborate 

and interact with GATX to manage and maintain their railcar fleets. In this session, representatives from the IBM implementation team will 

discuss the details of the project including the business drivers, technical requirements, innovative design techniques, and agile methodology.

BUS-14 A Journey of Canadian Municipalities to better serve their Citizens through the Web

Government. Through better use of the web, organizations are able to build efficiency around current processes, records management, and 

support green initiatives by reducing paper and reduce costs. Two Canadian municipalities have partnered to take on this challenge and are 

providing an Exceptional Web Experience through their Joint Portal initiative. The Joint Portal initiative is made up of several public facing as 

well as employee portal websites. Attend this session to learn how the teams have prioritized platform service requirements, designed the 

architecture and organized the governance model required to build and operate these websites, leveraging capabilities from WebSphere

BUS-S17 Developing Portal Applications using Client-Side MVC at Premier

Premier is a performance improvement alliance of more than 2,700 U.S. hospitals and 90,000-plus other sites using the power of collaboration 

and technology to lead the transformation to coordinated, high-quality, cost-effective care. Clinicians don’t have time anymore to go through 

stacks of paperwork, looking for evidence of possible patient harm. What they need is an automated tool to identify patients at risk for harm so 

they can act quickly to prevent hospital-acquired conditions. Premier has developed SafetyAdvisor®, a user-friendly portal solution, to assist 

health systems and hospitals in the coordination of care and improve patient safety and clinical outcomes by automating this process. 

SafetyAdvisor is the ultimate comprehensive application for infection prevention and medication management. In this session Premier will talk 

about how SafetyAdvisor was designed and developed as a Web 2.0 portal application using Client-Side MVC through the use of Dojo Widgets 

and Spring MVC controls that exposed enterprise services. The topics covered in this session will show how the Client-Side MVC design

enterprise portal. Innovation continues at CMS where new programs and tools are being developed as a result of the Affordable Care 

Act, many which will be integrated into the CMS portal environment. In this session, you will learn how CMS has successfully implemented

Bernadette Carter is an Advisory Software Engineer on the IBM Connections team. Bernadette leads the integration of the IBM

product in the areas of Embedded Experience and Share dialog OpenSocial gadgets, as well as the Media Gallery. 

Nicole Carrier is IBM Program Director and Chief Strategist for IBM Web Experience Software. Nicole's expertise lies in defining, 

launching, and managing new products, which have included IBM Customer Experience suite, IBM WebSphere Portal Accelerators, 

IBM WebSphere Dashboard Framework, and IBM Web Experience Factory. Nicole has over fifteen years of product management 

and IT consulting experience. She joined IBM in January 2006 with the acquisition of Bowstreet, where she was Director of Product 

Marketing. 

Luke Cressman is an experienced enterprise solution architect and also leads Base22's performance tuning efforts for our 

enterprise clients. Prior to joining Base22, Luke spent more than 12 years as a software engineer for IBM. He was the principle 

developer of the personalization engine used in IBM WebSphere Portal. Recently, Luke was a member of an elite team of IBM 

software engineers who worked with IBM’s largest clients to solve complex technical challenges. 

George “Mike” Cunningham has been involved with IT for 40 plus years since graduating with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from 

Utah State University. His experience includes 17 years with a large Electric Utility in California supporting a 24X7 Real Time 

monitoring and control system. He also has several years experience with IBM as one of the original members of the Lab Services 

team starting with the Network Dispatcher, Proxy Server, and WebSphere Application Server 3.0. Currently he works with ISSC

the past 2 years he has been using the Dojo Toolkit to create modern Web 2.0 client side MVC applications that follow best 

practices for performance and scalability. 

David Eyerman is an IBM Executive IT Consultant with IBM Software Services for Collaboration Lotus (ISSC). David has a long 

history with IBM WebSphere Portal. David started with IBM WebSphere Portal SWAT team in June 2000 and was with the team 

when IBM WebSphere Portal V1.0 was released to market. David was team lead for the technical team responsible for bringing the 

product out of the lab and for training the first consultants and customers. David worked with the IBM WebSphere Portal 

development team as one of the original Deployment and Operations Architects and has worked with the product management team 

to launch a number of new products. In his current position with ISSL, David concentrates on large scale Portal integration projects, 

High Availability designs, and implementation of IBM WebSphere Portal with Social Software. 

Charlet Givens is the Distribution Technical Lead and Consulting IT Specialist at the Global Solution Center in Dallas TX. She is 

responsible for designing and implementing Retail and Consumer Products industry solutions, particularly in the Supply Chain and 

Merchandising areas. Charlet is also Analytics lead, showcasing multiple analytics tools in the IBM portfolio. She works with client 

teams to help customers understand the capability of the IBM Advanced Analytics portfolio as well as the benefits of Big Data/Big 

Insights. 

Rich Gorzela is a Technical Solution Architect and certified IT Specialist with the IBM Software Services for Collaboration (ISSC) 

organization, specializing in IBM WebSphere Portal and Web Content Manager. He assists customers with defining technical and 

software services approaches. Previously he was a delivery architect and specialist in ISSC, and before that a part of IBM product 

development teams. 

Luis Guirigay has 14 years experience in the collaboration industry most recently as a Senior Team Lead and Technical Project 

Manager for customer engagements leveraging IBM Collaboration Solutions and WebSphere Portal. Luis' technical skills are many 

including Lotus Notes & Domino, IBM Connections, Sametime, Quickr, IBM Forms, WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, Administration,

Walter Haenel is the IBM Lead Architect for Operations and Deployment in the IBM WebSphere Portal development team. Walter is

since its beginning in 2000. In that time Stephan has been driving the Portlet Specification as well as its implementations in 

WebSphere Portal as well as WebSphere Application Server, the Web 2.0 architecture including JavaScript, Dojo, and Portal's 

REST services amongst other topics. The last two years Stephan has been leading the Theme and Frontend efforts including the 

new Theme Optimization architecture. 

Thomas Hurek is an IBM Senior Software Developer and Architect for IBM WebSphere Portal. In the past 10 years, Thomas has 

held positions as an IBM developer, worldwide L3 technical leader, lab-based services expert, architect, team lead, and chief 

programmer on various components of IBM WebSphere Portal. In his current role, Thomas supports clients as lab-based services 

consultant and works as Chief Programmer on the development of the product. 

Rik Frost is a Delivery Director for Avnet Services (formerly Ascendant Technology) responsible for the successful delivery of 

engagements for Avnet customers. Mr. Frost has worked with Kaiser Permanente since 2005 on a variety of projects involving the 

planning, design, implementation, and adoption of Portal, Content Management, Search, and Social technologies. 



Jayne Johnson is a Client Technical Profession on the West IMT Technical Resource Team, specializing in IBM Forms. Jayne 

came to IBM through the acquisition of PureEdge Solutions (which has since become IBM Forms) and has almost 10 years 

experience with the product suite on both the IBM Software Services for Collaboration and Technical Sales teams. 

Kirsten Kelley is responsible for managing offerings in the Exceptional Web Experience software portfolio. With over 15 years at 

IBM, she has worked in several different sales and marketing organizations, enabled global sales teams, and spoken at various IBM 

conferences. 

Paul Kelsey has been with IBM for 12 years, working on WebSphere Portal and WCM for the past 10 years, with responsibilities 

ranging from security development and integration work, portal core DB and model programming, to client side theme and JSR286 

portlet development. Paul’s current focus is to reduce the total cost of ownership for Portal and WebSphere deployments using 

virtualization, public and private cloud computing, and alternative multi-node, and multi-tenant topologies with a goal to give 

customers the best value in their hardware and 

software investments. Most recently, Paul led delivery of Portal and WCM versions 7 and 8 for deployment with IBM’s new family of 

hardware/software offerings, PureSystems. He continues to strive to make the cloud offerings a new offering model for all IBM 

Collaboration Solution products. 

Adam Kewley is a seasoned veteran of IBM Web Experience Factory. He previously spent ten years working on the Web 

Experience Factory Development team, and continues today consulting with clients and partners for Davalen. 

PJ Knight has worked as an Application Analyst at Children’s Medical Center for two years.In that time he has taken a lead role in 

forms creation for the Children’s Medical Center Online Experience as well as in other departments. 

Mike Kudla is a Consulting IT Specialist with IBM's Technical Sales Organization specializing in IBM's Social and Web Experience 

Software portfolio. He works with customers across multiple industries on the analysis, design, adoption, and support of IBM 

Software Solutions. 

April Lewis is the Collaboration and Ideation Officer for the Consortium of Advanced Simulation of Light Water Reactors (CASL) 

Program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She is responsible for idea and innovation management for the entire CASL program. 

Her core responsibility is translating user technology requirements into electronic venue designs and processes that promote various

Jon Lidaka is a Front-end engineer at IBM's Research Triangle Park Development Lab. During his time in development he has 

primarily contributed to the Portal user interface with a focus on mobile development. He has also contributed to various components 

for Portal administration and integration of external web applications. Jon is a frequent contributor to developerWorks and has 

spoken at multiple IBM conferences about UI and mobile development. Currently he leads the mobile development mission for 

Portal. 

Stefan Liesche is the Chief Architect for IBM Smarter Workforce. Stefan is defining the strategy for smarter workforce capabilities 

provided by the Kenexa platform leveraging IBM technology. Stefan worked as Architect for IBMs Exceptional Web Experience 

products for several years. Stefan has been working on Web delivery technologies for the past 14 years, within services projects, as 

well as within IBM's Software Group product development organization. Stefan holds a Master of Science in computer science. In

Mary Byrd Nance has over 20 years of international business and IT management consulting experience partnering with clients to 

create and implement IT-enabled business strategy and solutions. As an executive consultant she leads the development of 

customized business value cases for ICS solutions. 

Mark Neumann is an Executive Technical Sales Specialist and has been with IBM for 25 years. Mark assists customers to help them 

map IBM software to their business process. He has worked with IBM services, IBM development labs and customers all over the 

world on how to integrate Collaboration and Web Experience products together with IBM and third party software. Mark has 

presented at past IBM Lotusphere and Connect, Impact and IBM Portal Excellence conferences. Mark has created demonstrations 

and presentations showing the business value of the Collaboration and Web Experience software products that are used worldwide 

by the IBM sales teams. 

Jerh. O'Connor, IBM has been developing and leading Portal solutions for almost a decade. He has experience of all aspects of 

solution development from conception through to deployment and has worked an agile process with all stakeholders from business, 

UX, test, and development. 

Barry Pellas is a Senior Software Engineer at IBM and is the Chief Architect for WebSphere Portal Installation, Configuration, and 

Migration. Barry is also the owner of the Configuration Frameworks which enables the deployment of various products including IBM 

WebSphere Portal, IBM Connections, QuickR, and IBM Sametime Advanced Server. During Barry's twelve years with IBM, he has 

worked on various parts of the WebSphere Portal deployment including: ConfigEngine, Configuration Wizard, Database Transfer, 

Topologies, and Maintenance strategies. 

Widely recognized as the father of gamification, Rajat Paharia founded Bunchball in 2005. Since then, he has parlayed his unique 

understanding of technology and design – along with a preternatural ability to recognize patterns – into the creation of a company 

whose market-defining solutions have helped engage customers and motivate employees at a wide array of companies, including 

Toyota, Mattel, T-Mobile, Bravo, VMware, ESPN, BOX Technologies and Kimberly Clark 

Geoffrey Peart is responsible for stewardship and planning of the Architecture and performance of both an Online Portal Strategy, 

and the client facing Online Banking application at Royal Bank of Canada serving over thirty million client sessions per month. 

Denny Pichardo is a Senior Managing Consultant specialized in WebSphere Portal Architecture with IBM Software Services for 

Collaboration. Denny has over 10 years of experience consulting on Software Architecture, Development , and Performance 

Engineering for a broad array of industries including insurance, financial services, telecommunications and healthcare. Previously 

Denny was the technical lead of the Websphere Portal Performance Team and was responsible for optimizing, analyzing, and 

measuring the performance of IBM’s WebSphere Portal and other Collaboration Solution products. 

Hunter Presnall is the WebSphere Portal Performance team lead. He has over 13 years of performance testing and analysis 

experience. He has been with IBM Lotus for five years and has worked on IBM Connections, IBM SmartCloud. Previously, Hunter 

was a consultant in IBM Global Services where he worked with numerous customers to optimize the performance of their Java 

applications. 

Alex Sanielevici is a Solution Architect with IBM Software Services for Collaboration, with extensive enterprise application 

development leadership experience. As both WebSphere Portal and mobile device applications have gained in relevance over the 

past few years, Alex has played a key role in creating and delivering services offerings bringing these components together using 

our lab services teams, successfully extending the reach of the WebSphere Portal platform to our users' preferred devices. 



David Saunders is an Engagement Delivery Manager with IBM Software Services. Since joining IBM in 1999, he has managed 

successful implementations across the Collaboration and Web Experience technology portfolio, teaming across multiple groups 

within IBM, with Business Partners, and IBM's customers. In addition to his engagement oversight responsibilities, Mr. Saunders 

manages the Strategic Projects and Programs group, and the Project Management practice. 

Brad Schauf is an Engagement Delivery Manager and IBM Executive I/T Architect with over twenty -five years of experience in 

the computer services and consulting industry. He has worked on some of the largest and most complex Social Portal 

deployments and Notes and Domino deployments in the world. Brad serves as the worldwide lead architect for the Portal NOW 

and WCM NOW reusable software templates. His experience includes Lead Architect for WebSphere Portal deployments; API 

level application development and lead programmer; and enterprise lead for messaging and portal deployments. He was a 

founder of a successful IBM business partner before joining IBM in 1999. 

Ann-Marie Sheppard is a Senior Domain Architect with Ascendant Technology, an Avnet Technology Solutions Company. She 

lives in Calgary,Canada. She has more than 12 years of experience in IT and has been involved with IBM Web Content 

Manager implementations since 2003.In her current role she works with large and small customers to develop and facilitate their 

use of IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM Web Content manager. 

Sung-Ik Son is a Senior Software Engineer for the IBM Software Services for WebSphere (ISSW) at the IBM Raleigh Lab. He 

has been a key developer for more than 12 years in IBM's system and application software development organizations. He has 

worked for the past 13 years on the WebSphere Enablement and Services team. Sung-Ik's primary focus areas have included 

WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, wireless, mobile, pervasive, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), 

and DataPower. Sung-Ik's current focus and responsibilities includes IBM Pure Application System and related products and 

technologies. 

David Strachan is a solution architect in the IBM Software Group Services pan-Europe team. He focuses on Web Experience 

architecture, bringing together content management, social and portal to deliver exceptional web experiences, and has led large 

Portal, WCM and Connections deployments at a range of customers. David has been working in this field for more than 10 

years and regularly presents on Web Experience topics at IBM conferences. 

Tyler M. Tribe is a Senior Product and Offering Manager for IBM SWG focusing on multichannel web experience solutions and 

mobile strategy. With over 22 years of product management, offering management and development experience with solutions 

such as learning, social, collaboration, content development and web experiences. Tyler is currently immersed in providing IBM 

customers a market leading web platform. 

Lauren Wendel is the IBM Product Manager for IBM WebSphere Portal and Web Experience Private Cloud solutions. At IBM, 

Lauren has worked in software product development , Business Partner Alliance programs, IBM Notes and Domino enterprise 

integration, Enterprise search and Knowledge Discovery products and technologies. Lauren previously held systems 

management and consulting positions at Wells Fargo Bank, Citigroup, Duke Fuqua School of Business and Grant Thornton 

International. 

Rob Will is an IBM Distinguished Engineer in IBM’s Software Group and is the Chief Architect of IBM WebSphere Portal. Rob 

has been a member of the IBM WebSphere product development team since the beginning working on both the WebSphere 

Application Server and WebSphere Studio focusing on web applications. Rob's current responsibilities include architecture for 

IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM Web Content Manager. Rob joined IBM in 1981 and worked in VM/ESA development, 

System/390 Client/Server development, DCE development and Software Group strategy before joining WebSphere.
