Got Ink?

People have different reasons
to get tattoos or piercings,
maybe just to get attention or
they might want to show their
courage because getting a tattoo
or piercing can be a painful
process. Some people frown
on tattoos and piercings, associating
them with gangs and
prisoners.
However, there is no denying
their growing popularity
around here. Many people get
ink and piercings because it
means something important
to them---it may be the only
real thing they can take to the
grave.
Body modifications are also
something that gives some
originality; they could even
make the person feel better
about themselves. There are
a lot of students here at this
school with body mods.
Freshman PJ Stangl has three
tats including an ICP juggalo, a
skull pilot, and a cross. He was
eleven when he got his first
one done.
His brother Andy Stangl,
sophomore, also has three tats:
the word family, a Viking with
his first name, and his last
name across his back. Andy
was fourteen when his first tattoo
was done.
Junior, Dalton Green was
fourteen when he got his tattoo
of a cross with antlers.
Sophomore, Luke Hahn was
fifteen when he got his tattoo
of a freestyle motocross logo.
He said he regrets his though
because of the pain. Luke
also has 3/4 inch gauges and
snakebites.
All four of these guys said
they would get another tattoo.
If you plan on getting inked
you should make sure it is
something you’re going to be
okay with having for the rest
of your life and that you’re
ready to take care of it. The ink
is permanent, but if something
means that much to you, go
for it!
