RELIGIOUS CEREMONY: Portugal is considered a Catholic country and as a result the only religious weddings that are legally binding in Portugal are Catholic<br />
ceremonies. Stunning cathedrals, beautiful churches and lovely chapels are abundant throughout the country and its islands.<br />
CIVIL CEREMONY: Civil Weddings are legally binding both in Portugal and in your home country. As a rule, civil weddings are held either in state rooms, at the<br />
Wedding Hall or at the embassy. Nonetheless, for an additional fee celebrants may travel to the venue of your choice.<br />
SYMBOLIC CEREMONY: Symbolic services can be as elaborate or as simple as you wish. These ceremonies, for first-times and re-commitments, can be held in<br />
religious chapels, on a boat, in a park, or just about any other location you can think of! These types of weddings are not legally binding; nonetheless you do<br />
receive a symbolic certificate in hand calligraphy.<br />
