FOOD BANK COLLECTION…..
Collection boxes for the local Food Bank were
set up in both campuses for the month of
December. A lot of non perishable food items
were generously donated by our students and
their families. We are very proud of our student’s
compassion and kindness for those less
fortunate members of our community especially
during this holiday season.
Pennies for Friends of Tro-Val
Trochu ATB is partnering with Trochu Valley School in a
Penny Collection Campaign with proceeds to go to Friends
of Tro-Val .
Collection Bottles for pennies and any other donations will
be set up in both campuses. All money collected will be
rolled and counted by the ATB staff.
We would like to thank Laurie Klassen and her staff for
donating their time to help out our school.

‘I DID IT’ Ribbon Winners...
Each month Trochu Valley School acknowledges our elementary students for their individual
growth and/or improvement in different area. These areas can include academics, reading,
responsibility, citizenship, etc. On December 18th the ‘I Did It’ ribbons were awarded to
these deserving students for the months of November and December.

Christmas Hockey Game...On Friday, December 21st the students were treated to a fast
paced, high energy hockey game. The athletes were a mix of high school students, teachers, RCMP
officers and community members. The game was a nail biter and could have gone either way.
Admission to the game was a donation to the Food Bank and many items were collected.
Everyone was treated to hot chocolate and popcorn. It was a great way to wrap things up before
the Christmas Break.
