Several compensation curves exist in the dental <strong>occlusion</strong>. These are closely related to the cusp contact according to the grinding movement of the mandible. Curve of Spee is called sagittal compensating curve. A strong curve increases the possibility of molar contacts. Curve of Wilson is called lateral compensating curve. A strong curve of Wilson increases the possibility of non-working side contacts. - 24 -
