Levan Asabashvili (geb. 1980 in Tiflis, Georgien) studierte Architektur<br />
an <strong>de</strong>r Tiflis Kunstaka<strong>de</strong>mie und an <strong>de</strong>r TU Delft. Er ist einer<br />
<strong>de</strong>r Grün<strong>de</strong>r von „Urban Reactor“. Zur Zeit beteiligt er sich an <strong>de</strong>r<br />
Entwicklung einer Bibliothek für <strong>de</strong>n Studiengang „Gebaute Umwelt“,<br />
die als eine offene Plattform für Forschung, Beratung und<br />
Bildung angelegt ist. Sein Interesse an Architektur umfasst ein<br />
breites, interdisziplinäres Feld.<br />

Levan Asabashvili (born 1980 in Tbilisi, Georgia) studied architecture<br />
at Tbilisi Aca<strong>de</strong>my of Arts and at the TU Delft and has lived<br />
and worked in Tbilisi since 2009. He is one of the foun<strong>de</strong>rs of<br />
‘Urban Reactor’. Currently he is involved in <strong>de</strong>veloping a library for<br />
built environment studies, which is perceived as an open<br />
platform for research, <strong>de</strong>bate and education. His interest in<br />
architecture encompasses a broad, interdisciplinary practice.<br />

An <strong>de</strong>r Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art<br />
zum Architekten ausgebil<strong>de</strong>t, ist er heute Amerikakorrespon<strong>de</strong>nt<br />
<strong>de</strong>r russischen Zeitschrift TATLIN und (Ko-)Autor <strong>de</strong>r Bücher<br />
„Felix Novikov“, „Green House“ „<strong>Soviet</strong> <strong>Mo<strong>de</strong>rnism</strong>: <strong>1955</strong>–1985“<br />
und „Harry Seidler“ (Rizzoli, 2014). Er hält vielerorts Vorträge und<br />
kuratierte Austellungen wie „Colombia: Transformed“ und „A Game<br />
of Chess“ für <strong>de</strong>n russischen Pavillon <strong>de</strong>r 11. Architekturbiennale<br />
in Venedig.<br />

Trained as an architect at Cooper Union, he is the American<br />
correspon<strong>de</strong>nt for Russian journal ‘TATLIN’ and (co-)author of<br />
the books ‘Felix Novikov’, ‘Green House’, ‘<strong>Soviet</strong> <strong>Mo<strong>de</strong>rnism</strong>:<br />
<strong>1955</strong>–1985’ and ‘Harry Seidler’ (Rizzoli, 2014). He lectures wi<strong>de</strong>ly<br />
and has curated exhibitions such as ‘Colombia: Transformed’<br />
and ‘A Game of Chess’ for the Russian Pavilion at the 11th Venice<br />
Architecture Biennale.<br />
