“Buccaneer Magic”, at the
Oklahoma State Rally will be the
place to come for a good time this
spring, May 4-6 2012.
Located in Shawnee, OK, the
Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center
provides full hookups and 30 amps
service. All activities will be held in
the large air-conditioned building.
Come early on Wednesday
May 2nd in order to sign up for the
following activities and tours that
take place on Thursday October 3rd:
a golf outing at the Fire Lake Golf
Club, the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of
Art featuring collections from around
the world, the 107 year Romanesque
style Santa Fe Depot and the first
log cabin built in Shawnee during the
1891 Land Run and the Potawatomi
Tribal Museum where you will see
artifacts and history of this tribe.
“Buccaneer Magic” begins
following Opening Ceremonies
Friday, October 4 at 9 a.m. with lots
of food at the Hospitality Table for
your enjoyment.
Meals for the Rally includes
hospitality table, two catered dinners,
one breakfast, one continental
breakfast and one ice cream social.
Games and things: To name a
few, bean bag baseball, washer
toss, quarter horse racing and rattle
snake golf also drawing for club
prizes, door prizes and money hat
etc. There will be entertainment
Friday and Saturday. The WIT store
will be open on Saturday.

South on OK177 for about four miles. Traffic light,
turn left, north east on to Darrien Cordon Drive (about
30 yards) bear right (do not go left) on to Shawnee
Municipal Airport Rd. East Bound. Turn left on to Wade
Hayes Blvd. Expo Center building will be at you eleven
O-Clock position. (Check inside of building for directions
and information) Enthusiastic Parkers and Greeters will

Northwest Regional Rally
Moses Lake, WA
May 17-20
“It’s a party Amigos” so dig out your Sombreros,
Serapes, Rebozos, bright colored skirts and shirts and
be ready to party up at the Northwest Regional Rally to
be held May 17-20 at the Grant County Fairgrounds in
Moses Lake, WA.
The Fraser Valley Explorers Club from BC with
assistance from the Wash-I-Bagos Club has planned
a Mexican theme for everyone from the Northwest and
other places who attend this year’s rally. Indications are
that there will be no time for a Siesta, because it will be
a Fiesta so mark your calendars now and plan to attend.
All Veterans are encouraged to bring a hat, jacket
or other piece of their service clothing to wear at the
traditional (early) Memorial Day Service.
Planned activities, at press time, include Opening
Ceremonies on Thursday morning, indoor & outdoor
games, bean bag baseball of course, ice cream
social, golf tournament, seminars, crafts, raffles,
entertainment, “Margaritaville” Social, Craft Fair, Skits,

Dealer and Vendor displays and a Sunday morning nondenominational
service prior to leaving.
Rally fee includes three nights camping and Friday
and Saturday lunches and dinners.
Attendees are responsible for their own breakfasts
every day. Coffee and muffins/donuts will be available
Sunday morning prior to the non-denominational
Religious Service.
Rally fees for electric and water site: One rig/two
people, $125, one rig/one person $95, extra person $35.
Extra nights are $20 per rig. Fees paid after May 1st add
$30. All of the full hookup sites have now been taken.
Wednesday (or earlier) arrivals please be sure to
include the fee for Extra nights to facilitate the onsite
Registration process.
Handicap parking needs must be requested on your
Registration Form.
The parking gates will close at 5 p.m. Always
remember if you want to park with your Chapter /Club
you need to arrive together.
Cancellations received by the Treasurer after May 1
will be subject to a $30 fee.
Last minute emergencies will be taken into
consideration.

North Carolina State Rally
Marion, NC
May 25-27
The North Carolina State Rally will be held May 25-27
at Tom Johnson Rally Park in Marion, NC. 2012 will be
the 40th anniversary of our state club. The theme for the
rally is: “Happy Birthday – NC TarWheels 40 years.”
Many attractions are within a short drive drive from
Marion, including The Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls,
Linville Caverns, Mt Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain,
Asheville, the Biltmore House, and many others.
Pre-rally activities include an 18 hole golf outing on

On Thursday, May 24 we will have a caravan to tour
the Biltmore House and Gardens (which should be

The rally fee is $135 per coach (2 people), the fee
for 1 person in a coach is $100, and the fee for each
extra person in a coach is $35. The rally fee includes:

amp elec, water & sewer). Due to the number of sites,

Take NC 226 north approximately 1 mile to
the intersection with US 221. Go straight through
the intersection onto US 221 North Bypass. Go
approximately 5.2 miles and turn left onto US 70 West.
Go approximately 2 miles and turn left onto Resistoflex
Road. Entrance to the rally park is about ¼ mile on the
left. Note: you will pass the dealership on the left before
you get to Resistoflex Road, do not enter through the
dealership.

The Pilgrim Winnies, Connecticut Nutmeg Winnies
and Rhody Winnies invite all WIT Members to Set Sail
for the 23nd Annual Southern New England Tri State
Rally. The event will be held at the Washington County
Fairgrounds, Route 112, Richmond, RI, 02892.
Rally includes: 4 Days, 3 Nights camping – 2
Continental breakfasts and one hot breakfast -Friday light
supper—Saturday night catered meal- Entertainment-
-Ice Cream Social--Seminars--Money Hat Games--
Friendship Walk-and more. Rally Fees before 4/30: 1
unit/2 people/2 pins: $125, 1 unit/1 person/1 pin: $95,

Pennsylvania State Rally
Centre Hall, PA
June 7-10
Aaaargh...and ahoy matey - batten down the hatches,
avoid the gangplank -- and come have a little fun with
the Pirates of “Penn”…sylvania. Nah, we won’t make
you walk the gangplank – just treat you to some swashbuckling
good times. The PA State Rally will be held
Thursday, June 7 through Sunday, June 10, 2012.
Location is the Grange Fairgrounds in the beautiful
countryside of Centre Hall, PA.
We’ll begin the festivities on Thursday with the PA
chapter potluck suppers. All first time attendees and
out of state guests are encouraged and welcome to join
the local chapters for supper. Bingo follows supper for
your evening relaxing. Opening ceremonies are Friday
morning. If you would like to arrive prior to Thursday June
7, the cost will be $20.00 per night, payable with your
registration fees for the rally. Water and 30amp electric
are provided. The dump station is open on Sunday when
you depart. Honey Wagon tickets will also be available
to purchase.
Your weekend will include food, seminars, games,
craft competition, vendors, ice cream social, friendship/
cake walk, money hat for each of Friday and Saturday
evenings, 50/50 drawings for each evening, book
exchange (bring the books you’ve already read and
exchange them for something “new” to read), beanbag
baseball tournament, pet show, WIT store, local vendors
and the ever popular PA baskets drawing on Saturday
evening. Potluck and bingo Thursday, Friday evening

some door prize drawings, and “Game Night”. Saturday
morning we’ll get you going with a pancake breakfast.
Saturday evening the ladies of the Grange Fairgrounds

baskets) as well as door prizes. Doughnuts and coffee
will be available Friday morning. Fun, food and great
fellowship - all the ingredients for a “hit the plank”...

Craft show information is based on the GNR rules
and regulations information. All craft folk are encouraged
to show your talent.
Rally fees are as follows: Cost of the rally for 3 nights
camping and activities: $120.00 per rig/2 people. $95.00
per rig/ 1 person.
Additional persons and children 10 years of age
and older are $25.00 each, to be paid with registration
fees. Registration is due by May 11, 2012. The cost of
registration after the 11th of May is: Rig/2 people-$125.00,
Rig/1 person-$100.00. Additional person fee remains

Directions: Centre Hall Grange Fairgrounds is located
on Route 45 in Old Fort, PA. The entrance is on Homan
Road. From the northeast or west, follow Interstate 80
east or west to exit 161 (route 220S).
Follow 220S to exit 73 (Rt. 45E). Left at the exit light,
go 6.4 miles from the light at the exit turn left into the
fairgrounds on Homan Road. From the southeast and
central area, Rt. 322 west to Rt. 144 North, left at Rt. 45
West in Old Fort - entrance to the fairgrounds from the
light at 144/45 is approx. 5/10 of a mile on the right. From
the west, the PA turnpike or I-80 as above. The zip code
for use with GPS or Internet maps is 16828. Map quest,
Google maps, paper maps or GPS are your personal
guides of choice for safe arrival.

MILWIT Central Rally
Rising Sun, IN
June 18-21
The 2012 MILWIT Central Rally will start late Monday
afternoon, June 18 and end Thursday morning, June 21,
2012 at Little Farm on the River in Rising Sun, Indiana,
located about a half hour west of Cincinnati in lovely
Southern Indiana along the Ohio River. Owner Richard
Elsen has committed to help us with a great rally and
appointed Rachel to be our Point of Contact. Richard is
giving us free use of their enclosed nearby recreation
center/clubhouse for breakfasts, dinners and other
evening social events.
The Rising Star Casino (formerly Grand Victoria) has
a free shuttle and is a couple minutes away. Numerous
wineries, golf courses, the Creation Museum, historic
small towns, other casinos and points of interest are
within a short 30-45 minute drive along with the Cincinnati
area attractions.
Campground Information: Little Farm on the River is
located at 1343 E. Bellview Lane, Rising Sun, In 47040.

Reservations must be made by calling our Point of

Let Rachel know you are with MILWIT and attending the
rally. She will ask for a credit card to hold the site; you
can cancel without charge up to day of check-in should
emergency preclude coming. Sites are full hookup
and site fees plus sales tax are payable on arrival. The
CampUSA or Passport America member site rate is
$16.50 per night for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
only with no other discounts.. The military rate after 10%
discount for Sunday to Thursday nights is $29.70 and
the Friday or Saturday night rate is $36. Although there
are sites down by the river, we chose our sites on top of
the hill for easy access to the enclosed recreation center.
Directions to Little Farm on the River: You can use
GPS but recommend for the least hassle to go to the
I 275 loop (Connects with I71, I74, and I75) around
Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southern Indiana and
take the I 275 Exit 16 to US 50 West Lawrenceburg/
Greendale, Aurora Indiana. (This is just North of Indiana/
Kentucky bridge over the Ohio River.) Go about 1 mile to

US 50 W and travel about 6 miles on US 50 W to IN 56.
Turn left on 3rd Street/IN 56 and follow it along the river
west about 6.5 miles to Bellview Lane on your left toward
the river. Turn left on Bellview and go about .1 mile to
Little Farm on the River office for check-in.

Our theme this year is Honor and Serve. Come join
us to celebrate our Nation, Flag and Country. We will be
decorating our Motor Homes/Units with Red, White and
Blue with flags everywhere.
The Ohio State Rally will be held at Greene County
Fairgrounds 120 Fairground Rd Xenia, Ohio.
There are many things to do in the area. Sightseeing
and other activities available in the area are Tour
National Air Force Museum at Patterson Air Force Base,
3-D Movies, Presidential Air Planes and Wright Brothers
Bicycle Museum.
Rally Fees for 2 nights and activities is $85.00 1
coach/unit 2 adults, $70.00 per l unit/1 person; $25.00

Michigan State Rally
Ludington, MI
June 22-24
It’s WWW’s 40th Birthday so come and help us
celebrate! We’ll gather at Vacation Station, 4895 West
US 10, Ludington, MI, 49431. Come early and/or stay
late! Rally fee includes two nights camping, two dinners,
breakfast on Saturday. Sunday breakfast is provided by
the campground and is payable at the door. All sites are

three lighthouses, ferry boat, murals, beach, casino,
airplane ride, and many others.

Iowa Winnie Hawks are inviting all WIT members
to gather at our State Rally. Our theme “Pirates of
the Caribbean” will have you talking like a pirate and

comfortably into your character for GNR. Humboldt is
just a short caravan to the Rally grounds and Service
Center in Forest City.
Pre-rally will coincide with Independence Day
celebrations in Humboldt with a grand parade and
spectacular fireworks display. The County Fairgrounds
will have a car show, bingo, and harness races for prerally
entertainment options. We will be conveniently
located near bike trails, local restaurants and shopping
venues. A local Farmers market will be held on Saturday
morning.
Aye maties, we have a treasure trove of activities
planned for you to enjoy. Come for the food, seminars,
entertainment, contests, prizes, and fellowship with
other Winnebago product owners. Enter your Arts &
Crafts in our state competition with the winner moving
on to GNR competition. Categories and guidelines are
the same as used at GNR. We will have a silent auction
and book exchange. Ron Lichtsinn of Lichtsinn Motors
will present a seminar and host a wine and cheese
party. Plan to party with old friends and make many new
acquaintances.

WIT 365 Club

Calling all full-timers (those who live in their RV at least
six months per year)! Join the WIT 365 Club for their Pre-
Rally on July 8-12, the week before the Treasure Island
GNR.
Registration is Sunday afternoon, July 8, followed
with Social Hour at 4 p.m. Beginning Monday, the group
gathers each day for breakfast prepared on-site. Then
we will learn more about the Forest City area by touring
three businesses. Each afternoon we gather for a 4 PM
Social Hour. Other group meals/events include a pizza
party, potluck, ice cream social, and an optional Dutchtreat
dinner out. Rally fee will be approximately $15,
payable at registration but, for better planning, we would
appreciate knowing if you will attend.

MILWIT National Rally
Forest City, IA
July 9-14
Our National Rally will be at the Winnebago Rally
grounds 9-14 July.
As usual we will have our nightly happy hour
(beginning at 1600) and several drawings for gift bags.
Make sure to bring finger foods for the happy hours.
We will again host a Veterans recognition dinner
during our national rally and of course we will participate
in the Annual Forest City Puckerbrush Parade.
We will conduct our officer elections and discuss some
proposals to modify the structure of the organization. We
will also need to bring our by-laws into compliance with
changes made in the WIT by-laws.
Again this year we will have a wee auction so bring
items suitable for that purpose. I do believe there will
be several bottles of “Monkey Shoulder” for those who
have a taste for finer scotch. Last years bottle went for
around $125.00 and we had more than one bottle the
profits probably would have been substantially higher!
For many years WIT members have approached us
and asked if we could help them dispose of their old tired
American flags. I asked Bill Speer to develop an American
Flag Retirement and Tribute Ceremony for the GNR. Bill
has written a good 10 minute program to properly honor
the flag in accordance with US Code 4 “The Flag Code”
and Doug Formanek would like to make the ceremony
part of the Monday 16 July evening program.
So, if you have a flag that is so worn, faded, or tattered
that it is no longer fitting for display? Bring it to the 2012
GNR and turn it over to Bill. He will accept your flag and
it will be honored in the flag tribute ceremony during the
rally. We will honor your flag in accordance with US Code
4, section 8k and dispose of it with respect according the
Flag Code.
We will select a flag from those given to us to represent
all the flags. As you know, most Flags today are often
made of synthetic materials and when they are burned
they would give off acrid or unsafe fumes.
Therefore, the flag chosen for burning will be one
made of natural fibers of cotton or wool. The remaining
flags will be taken to Ft. Riley, Kansas where they will be
honorably disposed in an EPA approved incinerator.

Wisconsin State Rally
Weyauwega, WI
July 22-24
Are you looking for some place to go or something
to do after GNR? Please join us at the Wisconsin
State Rally at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds in
Weyauwega, Wisconsin July 22-24. We have some funfilled
and interesting activities/tours planned for this rally.
Optional Tour: Monday, July 23 – Bus trip to the
EAA show, the nation’s largest air show in Oshkosh,
Wisconsin. Each year up to 10,000 visiting aircraft
- of all shapes, sizes and varieties, make Oshkosh
the busiest airport in the world (www.airventure.org).
Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or an aviation
novice, AirVenture has something for you. No matter
what your age, you’ll be entertained, informed, and
thrilled by the countless activities available that reflect
the spirit of aviation all around. Bus tour to Oshkosh is
dependent on a minimum of 25 people. Cost is $45 per
person: includes transportation and entrance fees for
the air show (standard entrance fee is $37).
Optional Tour: Tuesday, July 24 –Bus trip to Green
Bay, Wisconsin. Tour Lambeau Field, home of the Green
Bay Packers. Lambeau Field is one of the most storied
and hallowed stadiums in the United States, and the
Green Bay Packers are the only team in the National
Football League to be owned by the fans. Consistently
ranking high for the “fan experience,” Lambeau seats
more than 72,000 fans. Stadium tour guides take you
into a luxury box to view the stadium and then through
the players tunnel so you can see the field from the
player’s perspective. Tour the Green Bay Packers Hall
of Fame. The history and tradition of the team are
captured inside this fantastic museum. (www.packers.
com) In the afternoon we’ll tour Heritage Hill State
Historical Park, which is a living history museum devoted
to the preservation of its buildings and artifacts and the
interpretation of the history of Northeast Wisconsin and
its people. (www.heritagehillgb.org) Tour bus to Green
Bay is dependent on a minimum of 25 people. Cost is
$45 per person: includes transportation and standard
entrance fees for the three tours.
Other activities: On Sunday there will be a Community
Festival sponsored by a local church group that everyone
is invited to attend. Farm and Cheese Factory tour,
games, travel to nearby Door County, Green Bay or
Appleton or just plain relax if you wish.
Rally Fees: $125 for registrations before June 1,
2012 (early registers eligible for free entry drawing) for
2 people, 1 coach and $140 after June 1 for 2 people, 1
coach. Deduct or add $25 for less/more than 2 people.

Colorado State Rally
Central City, CO
August 3-5
Our theme will be Blue Hawaii. Wear a Hawaiian shirt
every day and become eligible for prizes! The Rally will
include camping, one continental breakfast sponsored
by SkyMed, one catered breakfast; one potluck and one
catered dinner. We will have Hawaiian entertainment,
perhaps hula dancers; and a performance by the “King”
-Elvis himself-on Saturday night! Friday evening features
a happy hour with complimentary margaritas and a wine
event on Saturday evening.
Saturday will feature a computer/genealogy seminar
- bring your information and questions with you. Attend
the Pampered Chef show and cooking seminar; the WIT
store will be open, and much more.
There will be a carpet cleaner on-site ready to help you
spruce up your rig. Rates are $50/carpet and &$65-$80
for furniture. If you are interested in this service please
note on your registration with a c(carpet)/f(furniture).
And for those who don’t know Colorado..Central
City has casinos (non-Indian) lining both sides of the
main street like a mini Las Vegas, mine tours and there
is a self-guided tour of the historic town!! More of the
same can be seen in Black Hawk, which is immediately
adjacent. The summer days are warm and the nights
cool down for a great night of sleeping. A good time is
promised to all who attend. For travelers leaving GNR
and heading west, Colorado is on the way home. Plan to
stop and rest with us a few days.
The cost is $155/couple and $125/single. Additional
days pre- or post-Rally will be available for the group

WIT State & Regional Rallies
Northern New England Rally
North Haverhill, NH
August 24-26
The Northern New England WIT Rally is hosted in turn
by the states of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. In
2012, New Hampshire will host the Rally at the North
Haverhill Fairgrounds, 1299 Dartmouth College Hwy,
Rte 10, North Haverhill, NH. The theme of the 2012 rally
is Hillbilly Hoedown.
Thursday night will be pot luck and Friday night dinner
will be a spaghetti supper. Entertainment that night will
feature a local blue grass band with an open mike to
follow so bring your instruments and join in the fun.
Saturday night will be a theme night with option to dress
accordingly so bring your corncob pipe and your jug. That
night will feature a genuine pig roast provided by chef
Dave Mallari of The Pig Kahuna of Maine. Entertainment
will feature the local band Red Hat.
Fun and games are planned including a turkey shoot,
a backgammon competition and beanbag game. Stay
tuned for more updates in the spring.
Admission will be $110 per rig with two people, $75
per rig with one person, $35 for an additional person per
rig. The fee includes two nights hook up, with 30 amp
electric, two dinners, 2 breakfasts and plenty of fun.

New York State Rally
Frankfort, NY
September 6-9
New York State Excelsior Winnies State Rally is in
Frankfort, NY, September 6-9, 2012. All WIT members
are invited to join the Excelsior Winnies State Club at
the Herkimer County Fairgrounds in Frankfort, NY, to
celebrate our 30th Rally Anniversary! Come prepared
to enjoy fun and games. Opening ceremonies will be
Thursday, September 6 at 4:30 p.m. followed by a potluck
dinner. Friday morning a continental breakfast will be
served with a Hot Dog and Ice Cream Social on Friday
evening followed by great entertainment. Saturday a full
breakfast will be served with a catered dinner followed
by super entertainment. Sunday morning, coffee and
donuts.

$125, 1 unit/1 person $100, and each extra person $75.
This is for four days and three nights camping with 30

An optional tour: Historic Erie Canal Cruise is
offered on Thursday, September 6, 2012. This narrated
90-minute tour on the Canal travels through Lock #18

Minnesota State Rally
Cambridge, MN
September 7-9
The 41st Annual Minnesota State Rally will be held on
September 7th-9th at Isanti County Fairgrounds located
at 3101 Highway 95 N in Cambridge, Minnesota.
The Rally Theme is “Minnesota-A Land of Treasures”.
New this year is a Photo Contest. Prizes will be awarded.
Our weekend will be filled with lots of fun events a
silent auction, arts & craft show, games and seminars.
We begin with a potluck meal on Thursday evening
for early arrivals following by social time and games.
Our Friday morning begins with a Golf Tournament.
Opening Ceremony will start around 12:30 p.m. after
the golfers return. Following the ceremony there will be
games and seminars. After the evening meal we will be
entertained by “The Bandannas” a singing group.
A pancake breakfast will start our Saturday morning
followed by seminars and card tournaments. There will
be an Ice Cream Social in the afternoon. The evening
meal will be catered.
Sunday morning starts with a continental breakfast

followed by a non-denominational church service. Our
closing ceremony will end our weekend before we head
our separate ways.
Cost: 1 unit 2 people: $120. 1 unit 1 person: $90.
Before August 23, 2012. After August 23 there will be
an additional $10 with the price at $130 and $100. Extra
adult will be $25 and each child will be $15. Extra nights
of camping available for $25 per night. Each camping
site will have electricity. Please arrive with a full tank of
water. There is water and a dump station available on
the fairgrounds.

Missouri State Rally
Columbia, MO
September 14-16
The Winnie-MO-Tasca Missouri State Club extends
an invitation to all WIT members to join us for a ‘Pirate
Party at Treasure Island’. The party will be held Friday,
September 14 to Sunday, September 16, 2012, at
Cottonwoods RV Park, 5170 N Oakland Gravel Road,
Columbia, MO 65202. Note: The road is paved. In
addition to the Pirate Party, Winnie-MO-Tasca will be
celebrating their 40th anniversary. The rally fee will be
$130 per unit with 2 people, $105 per unit with 1 person
and $30 for each extra person. Fees postmarked August
18, 2012 and after will increase $10 per unit. A $20 fee
will be applied to all cancellations made after August
30, 2012. The rally fee includes 2 night, full hook-up
campsite, Friday evening meal, Saturday breakfast
and dinner, Saturday evening entertainment, ice cream
social, anniversary cake and Sunday continental
breakfast. The rally plans include games, vendors and
a seminar(s).
Captain Cutthroat or Captain Scarface will be on hand
to welcome ‘ye landlubbers’ to the party at the opening
ceremonies on Friday evening. The rally promises to
be a lot of fun with the pillaging and plundering and
looting by the Captain Cutthroat’s and Blackbeard’s that
started at GNR continuing in Columbia. And whichever
one shows up has promised to bring a ‘Treasure Chest’
filled with door prizes to be given away throughout the
weekend.
Plan to arrive on Wednesday, September 12th to
participate in the pre-rally activities. Planned pre-rally

activities include a Thursday, September 13th tour of the
historic Jefferson City Penitentiary, lunch at the Prison
Brews and a tour of the Governor’s Mansion. A $12 fee
will apply for the penitentiary tour. Prison Brew menu
prices range from $6.99 to $13.99. There is no cost for
the governor’s mansion tour. A golf outing at a course
in the Columbia area is planned for Friday. The senior
rate for 18 holes and cart is $30. There are several other
interesting places in the Columbia area to visit. Directions
to the campground are as follows: Exit I-70 in Columbia,
MO at exit #128(Highway 63 north). Travel north
approximately 3 miles to Oakland Gravel Road(paved).

Washington State Rally
Enumclaw, WA
September 13-16
The Washington State Rally “A Journey to Adventure”
will be held Sept. 13-16 at the Enumclaw Expo Center in
Enumclaw, WA. Note that one of the adventures is to a
new location for the rally.
The registration office will be open for check-in starting
on Wednesday afternoon. The annual nine-hole golf
tournament is on Thursday, September 13. Additional

new website) before the start of the rally.
Enjoy meeting other members and exchange ideas
with other chapters, play bean bag baseball and other
games, visit the dealers, attend seminars, play Bingo,
win a door prize, enjoy entertainment, and explore
the shops, especially the pie store and restaurants in
Enumclaw. A local Latte truck will visit the grounds every

Oregon State Rally

September 19-23
Once again we invite all of our WIT members and
friends to make plans to head Polk County Fairgrounds
in Rickreall, Oregon to attend our 41th Annual WIT Rally
hosted by the Oregon Trail Winnies & Itascas (OTWI)
State WIT Club and supported by the six Oregon Local
WIT Chapters.
Our theme for 2012 is “WITzard of OZ”, so look for
the yellow Brick Road, Witches, and Wizards also don’t
forget Dorothy, Toto and their 3 friends. So start working
on those costumes and prepare for lots of fun. We will
do our best to provide a “WITzard of OZ” atmosphere
for your enjoyment and participation. If past history is
any indicator, our Saturday evening (our dress up night)
dinner will find participants dressed in their finest attire.
(Red Shoes) You are always welcome no matter what
you wear.
Early registration will be available Wednesday. The
rally itself will begin early Thursday morning with an
opening ceremony and registration for late-comers will
follow. Events this year will include a variety of seminars,

the ever-popular Red Hat Tea open to all the ladies,
indoor and outdoor games, many vendors, raffles, door
prizes, evening entertainment, and great food. Of course
our Winnebago and Itasca dealers will have coaches on
display and should be ready to offer great deals on both
new and previously-owned coaches.
Your rally registration fee includes three and a half
days of activities (Thursday morning through Noon
Sunday), three nights camping (Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday) with electric and water hook-ups (one-time
dump available on grounds) Do not forget to being extra

The Peninsula Winnies, your host chapter for the

WIT State & Regional Rallies
Virginia State Rally invite you to join us for the 2012
VA WIT Rally. “Pirates of the Rappahannock” will be
held at Bethpage RV Resort, Urbanna, Virginia 21-23
September. The resort offers full service with 20/30/50
amp electric, water and sewer, at each site. Come join
us for a weekend of Pirate fun including a costume
contest for individuals and groups. Enjoy food, music,
games and entertainment. The Rally will include three
days and two nights camping, Friday and Saturday
dinner, Saturday breakfast, and Sunday coffee and
pastry. Bingo and entertainment are being planned for
Friday and Saturday nights in the indoor facility. The

Pre rally activities for early arrivals include:
Rappahannock river cruise to Ingleside winery - The
narrated cruise departs Hoskins Creek at Tappahannock
at 10 A.M. You’ll want to bring your binoculars, so you
can get a close-up look at our rare, magnificent national
symbol, the bald eagle. These magnificent birds nest in
the trees and cliffs beside the Rappahannock. Once at
Ingleside, you can enjoy a buffet style lunch or take your
own picnic to enjoy in the courtyard. After lunch, you
are given a tour of the winery, where you can see the
wine making process first hand. But, the real treat of any
winery, is of course is the wine. A tasting of some of the
premier wines that Ingleside has to offer follows the tour.
The winery also boasts one of most unique gifts shops in
the area. When you visit Ingleside via the Capt. Thomas
you also can benefit from special discount pricing when
you purchase wine.
Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing cruise back down the
Rappahannock River; while you enjoy your glass of wine
take all of the scenery that the river has to offer.

Louisiana State Rally
Rayne, LA
September 26-30
The Louisiana Pelican Winnies invite all WIT members
to come and pass a good time with us. Our Theme is
“Pirates of Louisiana”. The 2012 State Rally will take
place September 26-30 at the Rayne Civic Center in
Rayne, LA.
The campground will be open Monday September
24th for early arrivals. The fee for early arrivals will be
$15.00 a night. There will be Tours on Wednesday Sept.
26th and Thursday Sept. 27th. More information on the
Tours will follow when all is finalized.
Rally Fee: The fee for the rally will be $140 for one
unit/ two people for those who register before Sept.1st.
and $150 after Sept. 1st. The fee for one unit/ one person
will be $115 if registered before Sept. 1st. and $125 after
Sept. 1st. Each extra person will be $25 and children
under 12 are free.
Fees include 4 days and 3 nights camping with
electricity, and water. Dump station on grounds. The fee
also includes 2 full breakfasts, 1 continental breakfast
and 3 dinners prepared by our great Louisiana cooks.
Entertainment will be provided Friday and Saturday
night. There will be door prizes an ice cream social and of
course some Lagniappe. The activities include vendors,
dealer displays, beanbab baseball, washer toss, tractor
pull, seminars, craft demostrations and classes. We will
have money hats, 50/50 raffles, bingo, a cajun cake
walk, a silent auction and a white elephant sale with new
and used books for sale also. Prepare yourself for our
costume contest based on our Pirate Threme.
Directions: From 1-10 take exit 87, head south. At the
first traffic light turn right and follow the signs to the Rayn
Civic Center.

The Texas W State Club invites all WIT Members to
attend the Texas State Rally October 12-14. The Rally
location will be at Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA
RV Park, 19785 Highway 105 West, Montgomery, TX
77356. More Pre-Rally and Rally information will be
forthcoming….so Stay Tuned!
The Bluebonnet Travelers, a Texas Local Chapter
Club, will be hosting this Rally along with other Texas
Local Chapter Clubs assisting. The theme for this Rally
will be OKTOBERFEST and promises to have events to
keep you all entertained.

New Mexico State Rally
Alamogordo, NM
October 18-20
Come and join the “Rio Grande Travelers” State Club
consisting of two chapters, Border Cities Travelers and
Roadrunners that will be hosting a marvelous 3rd New
Mexico theme state rally this year. The rally will be held at
the Boot Hill RV Resort, 1 Dog Ranch Rd, Alamogordo,
NM, October 18-20, 2012. You may want to stay a little
longer since there are so many wonderful, extraordinary
and incredible places here to see and visit.
At the northern end of the Chihuahua Desert lies a
mountain-ringed valley known as the Tularosa Basin,
surrounded by majestic Organ, San Andres and
Sacramento Mountain ranges, which Alamogordo is
located. Visit one of the world’s great natural wonders,
the glistening White Sands National Monument. It’s a
major portion of the world’s largest gypsum dune field,
along with the plants and animals that have successfully
adapted this harsh environment.

There are many other sites in Almogordo to visit and
enjoy including the White Sands Missile Range, Old
Town Almagordo, NM Museum of Space History, “Heart
of the Desert” Pistachio Groves & Winery to name just
a few.
There will be entertainment, speakers, socializing
and informal games of all kinds as well as door and raffle
prizes.

Arizona State Rally
Tonopah, AZ
October 18-21
The Grand Canyon Winnies invite you to come to
Arizona - the youngest state of the contiguous 48 states.
This year Arizona celebrated its first centennial. As of
February 14, 2012 (Valentines Day) Arizona officially
was 100-years old. The 2012 Arizona State Rally theme
is “CELEBRATE ARIZONA’S 100TH BIRTHDAY.” Of
course, there will be birthday cake.
There will be Wii bowling, beanbag baseball, the
cavalcade of games, seminars, vendors, a silent auction
and entertainment. Dinner Thursday night is potluck.
Friday’s dinner will be prepared by one of the local
chapters while Saturday’s dinner is catered.
Rally cost is $130 per 2-person rig or $120 per
single person rig. Each additional person is $10. After
October 1, 2012 the cost will be $145 per 2-person rig.
