5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY<br />
What is covered under this warranty?<br />
The warranty covers faults of the appliance, which can be proved<br />
to have been caused by faulty construction or material faults<br />
from the date of purchase from <strong>IKEA</strong>. The warranty applies only<br />
when this major appliance is operated and maintained according<br />
to instructions attached to or furnished with the product. This<br />
warranty applies to domestic use only. Whirlpool Canada LP<br />
(hereafter “Whirlpool”) will pay for Factory Specified Parts and<br />
repair labour to correct defects in materials or workmanship.<br />
Within the warranty period, the costs to remedy the fault e.g.<br />
repairs, parts, labour and travel will be covered, provided<br />
that the appliance is accessible for repair without special<br />
expenditure. Replaced parts become the property of <strong>IKEA</strong>. The<br />
exceptions are specified under the headline “What is not covered<br />
under this warranty?”.<br />
How long is the warranty valid?<br />
This warranty is valid for five (5) years from the original date of<br />
purchase of the <strong>IKEA</strong> appliance from <strong>IKEA</strong>. LAGAN appliances<br />
have a one (1) year warranty. If service work is carried out<br />
under warranty, this will not extend the warranty period for the<br />
appliance, or for the new parts.<br />
Which appliances are covered under this warranty?<br />
The five-year (5) warranty is valid for all <strong>IKEA</strong> appliances, except<br />
for LAGAN appliances, that have a 1-year warranty.<br />
Appliances not covered under this warranty.<br />
All appliances purchased from <strong>IKEA</strong> before August 1st, 2009 will<br />
be covered under the previous stated one (1) year warranty.<br />
Who will execute the service?<br />
Whirlpool Canada LP (hereafter “Whirlpool) through its own<br />
service operations or authorized service partner, will at its sole<br />
discretion, either repair the defective product or replace it with<br />
the same or a comparable product. In these cases, Whirlpool<br />
will be responsible for the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour<br />
and travel for repair staff that Whirlpool incurs, provided that<br />
the product is accessible for repair without Whirlpool incurring<br />
additional expenditure to gain access. This will not apply in<br />
cases where repair work has not been authorized by Whirlpool<br />
(or its authorized service partner).<br />
What is not covered under this warranty?<br />
Service calls to correct the installation of your major appliance,<br />
to instruct you on how to use your major appliance, to replace<br />
or repair house fuses, or to correct house wiring or plumbing<br />
is not covered. Service calls to repair or replace appliance<br />
light bulbs, air filters or water filters. Consumable parts<br />
are excluded from warranty coverage. Repairs when your<br />
major appliance is used for other than normal, single-family<br />
household use or when it is used in a manner that is contrary<br />
to published user or operator instructions and/or installation<br />
instructions. Damage resulting from accident, alteration,<br />
misuse, abuse, fire, flood, acts of God, improper installation,<br />
installation not in accordance with electrical or plumbing codes,<br />
or use of consumables or cleaning products not approved for<br />
use. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, chips or<br />
other damage to the finish of your major appliance, unless<br />
such damage results from defects in materials or workmanship<br />
and is reported within 30 days from the date of purchase. Any<br />
food loss due to refrigerator or freezer product failures. Costs<br />
associated with the removal from your home of your major<br />
appliance for repairs. This major appliance is designed to<br />
be repaired in the home and only in-home service is covered<br />
by this warranty. Repairs or parts or systems resulting from<br />
unauthorized modifications made to the appliance. Expenses<br />
for travel and transportation for product service if your<br />
major appliance is located in a remote area where service<br />
by an authorized servicer is not available. The removal and<br />
reinstallation of your major appliance if it is installed in an<br />
inaccessible location or is not installed in accordance with<br />
published installation instructions. Major appliances with<br />
original model/serial numbers that have been removed, altered<br />
or cannot be easily determined. This warranty is void if the<br />
factory applied serial number has been altered or removed<br />
from your major appliance. The cost of repair or replacement<br />
under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by the<br />
customer.<br />
Transportation damages are not covered under this warranty.<br />
If a customer transports the product to their home or other<br />
address themselves, <strong>IKEA</strong> is not liable for any damage that may<br />
occur during transport. However, in case of <strong>IKEA</strong> delivery of<br />
the product to the customer’s delivery address, then eventual<br />
damages to the product that occurs during this delivery will<br />
be covered by <strong>IKEA</strong> (but not under this warranty). For claims<br />
under this last particular condition the customer should contact<br />
the <strong>IKEA</strong> store where original purchase was made. See also<br />

What is covered under this warranty?<br />
This warranty covers function, materials and workmanship in<br />
all knives in the above listed series. This means that, in normal<br />
domestic use and provided that our care instructions are<br />
followed, the knives will still work as well as they did when they<br />
were new, even after the warranty time has expired. In this<br />
instance, normal use is defined as using (for cutting food) and<br />
cleaning the knife by hand once a day and regular sharpening.<br />
The warranty covers: • Sharpness of the knife. The knife shall<br />
be sharp when you buy it and you will be able to keep it sharp<br />
so it can function properly, every day. The knife blade is made<br />
of a steel that is hardened so that it is possible to sharpen the<br />
knife to original sharpness anytime during the warranty period.<br />
• Durable handle. The handle of the knife should not crack,<br />
break or come loose from the blade so that the knife is not<br />
possible to use. • That there will not be any corrosion on the<br />
knife blade.<br />

We warranty that in normal use the flooring will not wear<br />
through, not fade from sunlight and not stain permanently.<br />
This warranty is to the benefit of the original purchaser of the<br />
product. It is not transferable.<br />
TUNDRA flooring complies with User Class 31 of EN 13329 which<br />
means it is suitable for use in all rooms in a home, except for<br />
rooms such as bathrooms, damp cellars and basement and<br />
rooms with a floor drain. It is also suitable for light commercial<br />
use, light traffic areas such as small offices and meeting places.<br />

What is covered under this warranty?<br />
This warranty covers function, materials and workmanship in all<br />
energy-saving bulbs and tubes in the SPARSAM series.<br />
What is not covered under this warranty?<br />
This warranty does not apply if the product has been placed in<br />
a temperature under -10 degrees Celsius or over +40 degrees<br />
Celsius. If used in a humid environment such as a bathroom<br />
or greenhouse, SPARSAM may only be used with light fixtures<br />
approved for wet locations.<br />
