Touches of Thai
Welcome to THAI. While you settle into your seat, please take some time
to look around the cabin where you will notice some special artwork. This
artistic mural represents the senses and was especially commissioned by
THAI to be painted in the classical style of Ayatana to refl ect the true essence
of Thai culture.
To appreciate the mural, please fi nd below a detailed explanation of each
sense. See if you can spot each element in the large mural on the galley wall.
HEAR
The stylistic ear of a golden Buddha beckons you to
listen to the music and the sounds of the language
from the six regions of Thailand. Enjoy infl ight music
from around the globe that will soothe and satisfy
your senses.
TASTE
Grains of rice encompass a legendary fi sh depicting
a land of plenty where the food is simply heavenly.
Explore your sense of taste in a land where every meal
is a sensory delight. THAI is your gourmet restaurant
in the sky.
FEEL WITH HEART
The sixth sense in Buddhism is that of the mind
and is refl ected in the polite, hospitable, caring and
charitable nature of the Thai people. A Thai welcome
is a welcome from the heart. Your happiness and

Hands do not only feel but also express emotions.

A beautiful orchid, named after our beloved
Queen, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, adorns this
magnifi cent mural reminding us of the divinely
pleasant fl oral and herbal scents to be found in this
tropical paradise.
