High School: Grade 10<br />

Composition<br />

• One data chart measuring the student’s per<strong>for</strong>mance on at least eight<br />

different dates of a targeted skill based on GS #4 (i.e., Learning<br />

Standard 4.xx)<br />

• Two additional pieces of primary evidence showing the student’s<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance of the one targeted skill identified on the data chart<br />

• One data chart measuring the student’s per<strong>for</strong>mance on at least eight<br />

different dates of a targeted skill based on GS #8 (i.e., Learning<br />

Standard 8.xx)<br />

• Two additional pieces of primary evidence showing the student’s<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance of the one targeted skill identified on the data chart<br />

• One data chart measuring the student’s per<strong>for</strong>mance on at least eight<br />

different dates of a targeted skill based on one learning standard in<br />

the Composition strand (General Standards 19 through 25)<br />

• Two additional pieces of primary evidence showing the student’s<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance of the one targeted skill identified on the data chart<br />

• Certain evidence may not lend itself to easy calculation of accuracy;<br />

use of a scoring rubric is encouraged and may be submitted with the<br />

portfolio.<br />

Mathematics Required Portfolio Evidence<br />

Any three Mathematics strands:<br />

• Number Sense and<br />

Operations<br />

• Data Analysis, Statistics, and<br />

Probability<br />

• Measurement<br />

• Geometry<br />

• Patterns, Relations, and<br />

Algebra<br />

(2000/2004 curriculum<br />

frameworks)<br />

For each of the three selected strands:<br />

• One data chart measuring the student’s per<strong>for</strong>mance of a targeted<br />

skill on at least eight different dates based on one learning standard in<br />

the selected Mathematics strand<br />

• Two additional pieces of primary evidence showing the student’s<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance of the one targeted skill identified on the data chart<br />

High School: Grade 9/10<br />

(The Science and Technology/Engineering portfolio may be submitted either in grade 9 or 10.)<br />

Science and Technology/<br />

Engineering<br />

Any three learning standards in<br />

one of the following disciplines:<br />

• Biology<br />

• Chemistry<br />

• Introductory Physics<br />

• Technology/Engineering<br />

Required Portfolio Evidence<br />

Evidence may be compiled over two consecutive school years<br />

(7/1/11–3/31/13) in this subject.<br />

For each of the three selected learning standards:<br />

• One data chart measuring the student’s per<strong>for</strong>mance on at least eight<br />

different dates of a targeted skill based on one learning standard in<br />

the discipline<br />

• Two additional pieces of primary evidence showing the student’s<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance of the one targeted skill identified on the data chart<br />
