While last year’s economy showed some improvement, we are still not “out of the woods” and formidable 

challenges still confront our industry. This year you will see the complete implementation of the CSA 

program, a renewed fight over Drivers’ Hours of Service and capacity issues, as the economy continues 

to grow. 

Our members continue to thrive and the numbers prove this. The TIA 3PL Market Report indicates that TIA 

members of all sizes saw total dollars billed increase each quarter in 2010. You saw total shipments increase 

throughout the year, and while average profit margins declined throughout the year, they averaged 16 

percent. The TIA 3PL Market Report is a powerful new tool for you to use to gauge where you stand in 

your industry. 

The very fact that you are here confirms your skill, knowledge and ability in avoiding being a victim 

of the recession. At its outset, we pledged to boycott the recession. Now that it’s over, let’s commit
