Four new French business units join the European Actemium network

Turnover increased by 3.5% in 2008
Actemium, a network of VINCI Energies business units specialised in industrial
engineering and automation in Europe, has expanded to include four new members
based in France.
A competitive network offering expertise and specialisation for every industrial sector,
Actemium employs 5,500 engineers and technicians. Its annual turnover comes to 620
million euros, up 3.5 per cent from 2007.
The European integrator thus continues to pursue growth and has started off 2009
with an active network of 110 business units.
Four new members enlarge a European network of business units that share
standards of quality and service.
Four French business units, already part of the VINCI Energies group, became part of the
Actemium brand in January 2009.
• Actemium - Harfleur (Seine-Maritime, France), is an expert in automation
solutions and supervision on the storage and transport pipelines petrole and gas
products. The business unit also designs systems sampling of products on
pipelines. Total TRAPIL, Rubis Terminal, SFDM, CIM, Norgal, LBC
SOGESTRAN, SHMPP are among its clients.
• Actemium - Nancy ARS (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France) Automation and process
monitoring integrator', it's specialised in the food and beverage & chemical
industries. Nestle, Euroserum, Solvay and GDF are among their clients.
• Actemium - Saint-Laurent (Rhône, France), founded in 1995, specialises in the
equipment, automobile and manufacturing industries. Valeo, Caterpillar, Flexitech,
GE, Danfoss, FagorBrandt, Bosch Rexroth have placed their trust in them.
• Actemium - Tricastin (Drôme, France), specialises in instrumentation and
electrical for the nuclear industry. They have been active at AREVA’s Tricastin
and Marcoule facilities for over 25 years, carrying out engineering, implementation
and maintenance works. France’s Commission for Atomic Energy (Commissariat
à l’Energie Atomique or CEA) is one of their clients.
In ever more complex and competitive industrial markets, this organic growth enables
Actemium to put new expertise, skills and resources at our clients’ disposal. The density of
its European network favours the group’s aim to work closely with its clients and offer them

we have pursued a strong growth strategy by building up our presence in France. In addition,
thanks to the density of our network of business units throughout Europe, close to 40 per
cent of our activities take place outside of France.
Although we are vigilant, we begin 2009 with confidence and aplomb, given the business
development perspectives we discern in the solar energy and nuclear industries as well as
the infrastructure and aeronautics industries.
Finally, we remain focused, and in doing so our aim is to help optimise productivity, add to
the performance of European industry and contribute to the implementation of solutions in
response to environmental standards,” comments Rochdi Ziyat, director of the Actemium
network.
Today, the totality of Actemium’s turnover comes from its activities in the process and
manufacturing industries; the group maintains a balanced portfolio through its presence in
every sector of these industries.
Some of the Actemium network’s most recent accomplishments:
• Fendt: The tractor manufacturer entrusted Actemium with improving its gearshift
workshop productivity at its German production site in Marktoberdorf, Bavaria.
• Saint Louis Sucre: This subsidiary of the German Südzucker group called on
Actemium for the electrical distribution, the control process wiring and the lighting of a
new sifting unit in Roye, in the Somme region of France.
• Eurotunnel: Actemium helped to repair the section of the tunnel that caught fire in
September 2008; we ensured that the electronic and cooling equipment was
renovated and newly functional.
• Total: Technip requested Actemium’s services for the installation of command control
equipment in the new HDS Kero unit at the Total refinery located in Leuna, Germany.
