Four new French business un<strong>its</strong> join the European <strong>Actemium</strong> network<br />

Turnover increased by 3.5% in 2008<br />
<strong>Actemium</strong>, a network of VINCI Energies business un<strong>its</strong> specialised in industrial<br />
engineering and automation in Europe, has expanded to include four new members<br />
based in France.<br />
A competitive network offering expertise and specialisation for every industrial sector,<br />
<strong>Actemium</strong> employs 5,500 engineers and technicians. Its annual turnover comes to 620<br />
million euros, up 3.5 per cent from 2007.<br />
The European integrator thus <strong>continues</strong> to pursue growth and has started off 2009<br />
with an active network of 110 business un<strong>its</strong>.<br />
Four new members enlarge a European network of business un<strong>its</strong> that share<br />
standards of quality and service.<br />
Four French business un<strong>its</strong>, already part of the VINCI Energies group, became part of the<br />
<strong>Actemium</strong> brand in January 2009.<br />
• <strong>Actemium</strong> - Harfleur (Seine-Maritime, France), is an expert in automation<br />
solutions and supervision on the storage and transport pipelines petrole and gas<br />
products. The business unit also designs systems sampling of products on<br />
pipelines. Total TRAPIL, Rubis Terminal, SFDM, CIM, Norgal, LBC<br />
SOGESTRAN, SHMPP are among <strong>its</strong> clients.<br />
• <strong>Actemium</strong> - Nancy ARS (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France) Automation and process<br />
monitoring integrator', it's specialised in the food and beverage & chemical<br />
industries. Nestle, Euroserum, Solvay and GDF are among their clients.<br />
• <strong>Actemium</strong> - Saint-Laurent (Rhône, France), founded in 1995, specialises in the<br />
equipment, automobile and manufacturing industries. Valeo, Caterpillar, Flexitech,<br />
GE, Danfoss, FagorBrandt, Bosch Rexroth have placed their trust in them.<br />
• <strong>Actemium</strong> - Tricastin (Drôme, France), specialises in instrumentation and<br />
electrical for the nuclear industry. They have been active at AREVA’s Tricastin<br />
and Marcoule facilities for over 25 years, carrying out engineering, implementation<br />
and maintenance works. France’s Commission for Atomic Energy (Commissariat<br />
à l’Energie Atomique or CEA) is one of their clients.<br />
In ever more complex and competitive industrial markets, this organic growth enables<br />
<strong>Actemium</strong> to put new expertise, skills and resources at our clients’ disposal. The density of<br />
<strong>its</strong> European network favours the group’s aim to work closely with <strong>its</strong> clients and offer them<br />
identical quality of service, wherever their location in Europe may be.
Sustained performance in 2008 and solid growth ahead for 2009<br />

we have pursued a strong growth strategy by building up our presence in France. In addition,<br />
thanks to the density of our network of business un<strong>its</strong> throughout Europe, close to 40 per<br />
cent of our activities take place outside of France.<br />
Although we are vigilant, we begin 2009 with confidence and aplomb, given the business<br />
<strong>development</strong> perspectives we discern in the solar energy and nuclear industries as well as<br />
the infrastructure and aeronautics industries.<br />
Finally, we remain focused, and in doing so our aim is to help optimise productivity, add to<br />
the performance of European industry and contribute to the implementation of solutions in<br />
response to environmental standards,” comments Rochdi Ziyat, director of the <strong>Actemium</strong><br />

Today, the totality of <strong>Actemium</strong>’s turnover comes from <strong>its</strong> activities in the process and<br />
manufacturing industries; the group maintains a balanced portfolio through <strong>its</strong> presence in<br />
every sector of these industries.<br />
Some of the <strong>Actemium</strong> network’s most recent accomplishments:<br />
• Fendt: The tractor manufacturer entrusted <strong>Actemium</strong> with improving <strong>its</strong> gearshift<br />
workshop productivity at <strong>its</strong> German production site in Marktoberdorf, Bavaria.<br />
• Saint Louis Sucre: This subsidiary of the German Südzucker group called on<br />
<strong>Actemium</strong> for the electrical distribution, the control process wiring and the lighting of a<br />
new sifting unit in Roye, in the Somme region of France.<br />
• Eurotunnel: <strong>Actemium</strong> helped to repair the section of the tunnel that caught fire in<br />
September 2008; we ensured that the electronic and cooling equipment was<br />
renovated and newly functional.<br />
• Total: Technip requested <strong>Actemium</strong>’s services for the installation of command control<br />
equipment in the new HDS Kero unit at the Total refinery located in Leuna, Germany.<br />
