This letter speaks <strong>for</strong> itself. And apropos of quacks, a real quack in the<br />
worst sense of the word is the man who professes to cure what he<br />
knows he cannot cure. Be<strong>for</strong>e it became illegal <strong>for</strong> me to treat cancer, I<br />
never once professed to cure anyone after he or she had been<br />
subjected to radium treatment. Cancer itself was child's play to deal<br />
with in ccmparison to the after‐effects of radium, and had I offered any<br />
hope of curing these I should have been a quack imposter of the most<br />
bare‐faced type.<br />
