Allergic diseases are triggered by environmental factors (allergens) in genetically
predisposed individuals. The presence of allergen-specific IgE antibodies in serum
indicates that the allergen is involved in the allergic disease, or in the sensitisation stage of
the immune system preceding allergy. INTEX ® -Allergoset-IgE Basic Screen detect IgE
antibodies specific for over 30 different allergens. It not only shows the presence of
antigen specific IgE antibodies but also their quantity (titre) classified into five INTEX ® -
categories.

Assay procedure
INTEX ®
-Allergoset
Enzyme Immunoassay on the Basis of a Stripe Test
Tear open the blister card and place the dipstick with 800 µL serum into chamber 1 of the blister.
• Incubation over night at room temperature (chamber 1)
• Washing step 10 min in distilled water
• Incubation 1 h in IgE-specific Conjugat at room temperature (chamber 2)
• Washing step 2 x 10 min in distilled water
• Incubation 15 min in Chromogen solution at room temperature (chamber 3)
• Washing step 5 min in distilled water, drying of the stripe
Analysis of the result with the INTEX Color Card.
