TrAVEL iNFOrMATiON<br />
TiME Time zones vary among the islands of the <strong>Caribbean</strong>. Most islands<br />
in the <strong>Caribbean</strong> lie in the Atlantic Standard Time zone and a few are in the<br />
U.S. Eastern Standard Time zone.<br />
CLiMATE The semi-tropical climate is warm, and temperatures average<br />
between 70° and 80° F. Summertime highs are rarely above 90° and winter<br />
lows are rarely below 60°. Rainfall is less likely from November through April.<br />
CUrrENCy U.S. dollars are accepted virtually everywhere,<br />
especially in the resort areas. Travelers checks and major credit cards<br />
are widely accepted throughout the <strong>Caribbean</strong>.<br />

ENTry rEqUirEMENTS A valid U.S. passport is required for all<br />
U.S. citizens regardless of age when traveling between the United States<br />
and the <strong>Caribbean</strong>, with the exception of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto<br />
Rico where a valid government-issued ID must be presented. For travel to<br />
the Dominican Republic, in addition to a valid U.S. passport, a tourist card<br />
is required and can be obtained at the airport upon arrival. For the most<br />
