• an increase in staff skills<br />

• a consistent strategy for intervention<br />

• higher level of practice standards<br />

Workers report:<br />

• more consistent incident reporting<br />

• consistency in follow-up<br />

Supervisors and workers reported<br />

differing perceptions of whether a<br />

debriefing session occurred and how<br />

effective it was<br />

• TCI was implemented in Units B, C,<br />

D<br />

• TCI was not implemented in Unit A<br />

TESTS<br />

Confidence: Tests indicate significantly<br />

increased levels of confidence in:<br />

• managing crisis<br />

• working with co-workers to manage<br />

crisis<br />

• knowledge of agency policy and<br />

procedures<br />

• helping children learn to cope<br />

Training: Knowledge tests indicate:<br />

• a significant increase from pre- to<br />

post-test in learning scores<br />

• only a 5% drop in learning after 10<br />

months<br />

• after training, 87% of participants<br />

plan to use the knowledge and skills<br />

• after training, 93% reported they<br />

were able to use the knowledge and<br />

skills<br />
