Gray's House Report<br />

Since <strong>the</strong> lasr Magazine was published rhere have been grear<br />

rmprovemenrs in most aspecrs oI out <strong>of</strong> school activities, with rhe<br />

result rhar <strong>the</strong> large gap between Gray's house and rhe o<strong>the</strong>r rwo<br />

houses has been completely closed,<br />

Although rhe Rugby ralent was srill lacking rhe same cannol<br />

be said for rhe Swimming ream. Our success *as in no small wav<br />

due ro <strong>the</strong> performance <strong>of</strong> J. K. Allen, A. J. May and N. Adcock.<br />

tirsr place, afrcr a close and exciting finish.-Il was in enthusiasrii<br />

performance by all concerned; and on this occasion <strong>the</strong> House owes<br />

its tlanks especially to V. Caudwell, W. Vilkinson, S. Vright and<br />

l his ycar rhe Cross Country was rull on nerrr) and succcssful,<br />

lines. <strong>The</strong> Seniors managed to cornc first in <strong>the</strong>ir age group (due to<br />

<strong>the</strong> efforts <strong>of</strong> M. Freeman, R. J. Beardsall and D. V. pivel bur<br />

<strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r teams, unforrunarely, did nor fare so well.<br />

Finally, in tie academic field, <strong>the</strong> house has continued its<br />

improvemenr and A. E. Smirh, P. Whirfield and C. J. N. Wrieht<br />

must be congratuiated on rheir acceprance inro Univerlity.<br />

From <strong>the</strong> above successes it is clear to see that Gray,s housc<br />

"lags behind" no longer.<br />
