show, the Judy Lynn show,
the Jim Ed Brown show, Jerry Clower,
the Florida Boys and the
Dixie Melody Boys.
New York State Fairs include
Lowville, Westport, Malone, Middletown,
and Afton. North Carolina
fairs: Hickory, Fayetteville
Wilson and Goldsboro. Orangeburg,
S.C., two fairs in Indiana and
one in Pennsylvania round out the
schedule.
Florine seemed more interest
ed in discussing their son, Phil,
drummer with the Gatti-Charles
Circus; also their Lakeside home
in Knox, Indiana. She pulled pictures
of both to show CR. "Phil,"
she beamed, "is the best show
drummer in the business! This is
his first season on his own.
Look," and she pointed to a picture
of a baby, "I'm a grandmother
!"
We looked. And at pictures of
their lovely home by a peaceful
lake to which the Olers were now
enroute. "I sure miss working
with Phil," Florine sighs. "He
knows all the tempos, the old and'
the new."
"Next time you work with him*,
we said, "he'll be telling you
what to do."
"And if he's right," remarks
Florine, gathering up her pictures,
"I'll listen."
