Beelden uit het verleden bepalen ons beeld van de toekomst... Images of the past determine our vision of the future... 

Waarom kopen we een sloep? 

Is het het beeld van de roestige of afgebladderde werkboot in de haven met 

mannen in oliepakken en zuidwesters met als enige troost de dampende koffie 

in de thermoskan? Dat is het beeld van een klassieke sloep, maar tegenwoordig 

in glimmend polyester, een cabriokap in plaats van het oliepak en 

de volwaardige kombuis... de thermoskan blijft thuis. 

Of denkt u aan woeste zeeën, met schepen in nood? Door een mistige waas 

van golven en wind is een reddingssloep in zicht. Een notedop, maar de blikken 

van de kerels aan boord tonen onverzettelijkheid... we gaan ‘t redden! 

Als u dit beeld op uw netvlies heeft, kiest u vast voor een onverwoestbare 

Regenboogsloep. 

Het afgelopen jaar is er nog een beeld bijgekomen. Niet de noeste werkers 

of de stoere redders, maar we voelen ons de Admiraal, op weg van het 

moederschip naar het tropische strand. Volle kracht, staand op het achterdek. 

Met verrekijker zoekend naar mogelijke bewoners of buit. Het gevoel 

van de tender: stijlvol maar meedogenloos. 

Omdat wij watersporters zijn in hart en nieren, denken en voelen ook wij 

deze traditionele beelden. Beelden die voortkomen uit de rijke maritieme historie 

van Nederland waar we trots op zijn. Uit dit historisch besef ontwikkelen 

we met de modernste middelen sloepen en cruisers die op en top het 

Hollandse gevoel in ere houden, al 20 jaar lang! 

We wensen u veel plezier met het bekijken van de Antaris lijn:

What prompts us to buy a sloop? 

Is it the image of the rusty or peeling working vessel in the harbour with men 

in oilskins and sou'westers with no more than the steaming coffee in the thermos 

flask to keep them warm? That is the image of the classic sloop, but 

these days it is gleaming polyester, and a cabriolet hood instead of the oilskins 

and the fully-fledged galley… and the thermos flask stays at home. 

Or perhaps you are thinking more of the cruel seas, with ships in distress? 

A lifeboat heaves into view through a misty haze of waves and wind. No more 

than a cockle-shell, but the expressions on the faces of the men on board are 

indomitable… rescue is at hand! If that is the image on your mind, an unsinkable 

Rainbow Sloop is just the thing for you. 

During the past year another image has entered the picture. Not the diligent 

workers or the rugged lifesavers, but the feeling of being an admiral, travelling 

from the mother ship to the tropical beach. Full speed ahead, standing 

on the afterdeck. Peering through the telescope in search of inhabitants or 

spoils. The feel of the tender: stylish but relentless. 

As water sports enthusiasts in heart and soul, these are the traditional 

images that we think and feel. Images originating from the rich maritime history 

of which we are so proud. From the perspective of that historical awareness 

we use the latest resources to develop sloops and cruisers that have 

honoured that proud history for two decades! 

We hope that you will enjoy reading all about the Antaris line: Classic motor

Classic motor sloops

Antaris is groot geworden door haar klassieke motorsloepen. Met de 

520, 570 en 630 is het allemaal begonnen. Toen al een succes en nu 

nog steeds. Aan het prachtige lijnenspel is nooit wat veranderd maar de 

sloepen zijn van binnen compleet geoptimaliseerd. Met de input van meer 

dan 2700 eigenaren en 20 jaar ervaring zijn dit de meeste doorontwik- 

kelde sloepen in watersportland. 

Door de jaren heen zijn ze ook luxer geworden. Onder andere de introduc- 

tie van het weekenderpakket in 2004 droeg hier aanzienlijk aan bij. Door 

deze optie werden het heuse weekendsloepen. De klassieke sloepen heb- 

ben hun klassieke maat behouden. Ze gaan niet met de trend ‘groot, gro- 

ter, grootst’ mee. Met als voordeel dat elk vaargebied bereikbaar is. 

De klassieke Antaris sloepen worden allemaal overnaads gebouwd, één 

van de kernmerken van een sloep. Maar misschien nog wel belangrijker: 

door overnaadse bouw wordt er extra stijfheid aan de constructie toege- 

voegd. En dat de Antaris klassieke sloepen onverwoestbaar zijn, blijkt ook 

wel uit de tweedehands markt. Na vele jaren verwisselen ze waardevast 

van eigenaar. 

Classic Motorsloops 

Antaris made a name for itself with its classic motor sloops. It all began 

with the 520, 570 and 630: as successful then as they remain today. 

No changes have ever been made to the superb interplay of lines, but 

the sloop interiors have been completely optimised. With the input of 

more than 2700 owners and 20 years' experience, these are the most 

advanced sloops in the world of aquatics. 

And they have become more luxurious as the years have gone by. The 

introduction of the weekender package in 2004 made a substantial con- 

tribution. This option turned our motor sloops into ultimate weekend 

sloops. The classic sloops have retained their classic size. They have not 

followed the trend of 'big, bigger, biggest'. The advantage is that all sailing 

areas remain navigable. 

The classic Antaris sloops are all clinker-built, which is one of the defining 

features of a sloop. But perhaps even more importantly: being clinker- 

built adds extra rigidity to the structure. The fact that the Antaris classic 

sloops are unsinkable is also clear from the second-hand market. After 

many years, they change owner at minimal loss of value

Omdat de klassieke sloepenmarkt de laatste jaren enorm gegroeid is, 

ontstond ook de vraag naar onderscheidende sloepen: de traditionele 

reddingssloepen. Deze werden door Antaris gemoderniseerd en tot 

‘Regenboogsloepen’ omgedoopt. Het oermodel van de eerste 

Regenboog was een originele koopvaardijsloep en werd gebruikt als bij- 

boot tijdens zeilwedstrijden van de Regenboogklasse, vandaar de 

naam Regenboog. Daarnaast geeft een regenboog het gevoel dat het 

onmogelijke mogelijk is, iets wat bij de Antaris Regenboogserie ook het 

geval is. De basis van elk Regenboogmodel is de stoere en robuuste 

uitstraling. 

Daar waar de meeste reddingssloepen stoer associeren met spar- 

taans comfort, is bij Antaris gekozen voor juíst uitblinken ín comfort. 

Dus brede banken, met dikke kussens en hoge rugleuningen. En dat 

niets onmogelijk is, bewijzen talrijke innovaties die allemaal voortkomen 

uit de wens maximaal comfort, gemak en leefbaarheid aan boord te 

verschaffen. Door de vele mogelijkheden worden alle Regenboog sloe- 

pen custom-made geproduceerd. Elke Regenboog is daardoor uniek. 

En… uiteraard leverbaar in elke kleur van de regenboog. 


Sharp growth in the classic sloop market in recent years has led to 

demand for distinctive sloops: the traditional lifeboats. These have 

been modernised by Antaris and renamed 'Rainbow sloops'. The tradi- 

tional model for the first Rainbow was an original merchant shipping 

sloop which was used as a tender during sailing regattas in the Dutch 

rainbow class: hence the name 'Rainbow'. In addition, a rainbow gives 

a sense of the impossible being possible, something which is also true 

of the Antaris Rainbow series. The foundation of each Rainbow model 

is its sturdy and robust appearance. 

Whereas with most rescue sloops sturdy is associated with Spartan 

comfort, Antaris has gone the other way and opted to stand out for 

comfort. That means broad seats with thick cushions and high back- 

rests. And the fact that nothing is impossible is demonstrated by the 

many innovations intended to meet the wish for maximum comfort, 

convenience and enjoyment on board. Because of the many alternati- 

ves, all Rainbow sloops are custom-made. As a result, we can truly 

claim that every Rainbow is unique. And... perhaps needless to say: 

available in all the colours of the rainbow.

geluidsentertainment of een kookeiland.

sionally, such as a stainless-steel decorative border 

with bottle and glass holders, comfortable luxurious

boord om een lang weekend weg te blijven: 

in de motorkist zit een RVS spoelbak en 

een tweepits gasstel verborgen, in de voor- 

bank een chemisch toilet en onder de door- 

lopende hoge cabrioletkap (optioneel) kun je 

's avonds heerlijk zitten en met twee perso- 

nen riant slapen. Sfeerverlichting comple- 

teert het 'weekender' pakket. 

Het weekender pakket is leverbaar op alle 

Motor- en Regenboogsloepen, met uitzon- 

dering van de RB22’s en de RB24. 

Alle Tendersloepen zijn leverbaar met kook-
